About this listen
When Gunnar Long is transported into the first fully-immersive virtual MMORPG, he finds himself in a new world filled with magic, mystery, and adventure.
No more 9-to-5 job. No more studio apartment. No more reality TV.
Finally, he's in a place where he can call home, a place with people he can call friends.
But as more people want to trade their real world lives to get inside Eden's Gate, the government of the outside world wants the "game" shut down at all costs.
Gunnar must learn to survive, grow in power, and find a way to send a message back to his old home.
"We're fine. We're alive. Eden's Gate is real."
Eden's Gate is a LitRPG adventure.

SAO meets paper
Yes this kind of story has been done before but I enjoyed it then and I enjoy it now. Best description is it's what Sword Art Online could have been. It has set up an epic world and I can't wait for more.

Fantastic fantasy
As a long time mmo gamer, this book feels like it was written for me. I loved it. Love the characters and cannot wait to see Gunner get more powerful in his future adventures.
my only gripe and it's not really a big thing, wasn't as interested in the real world stuff but I get why it was there and wasn't much of it.
Big well done to Edward Brody!

Best LITRPG book I’ve come across yet
I’ve worked my way through a considerable amount of litrpg books recently, and while many are good I was yet to come across one that really gripped me. Until I came across this book that is.
Maybe it’s the MC’s class, which I’ve wanted to play in D&D for a while now. Or maybe it’s the more natural, slower progression through levels than other books, which leave little room for further advancement when they get a castle by the end of the first book in the series. Maybe it’s that the author clearly put a lot of thought into the world and focuses more on the story than on all the cool stats and rewards. Either way, I’ll be listening to the whole series no doubt, and will eagerly await more.

One of my favourites
I've made my way through quite a lot of LitRPGs now such the Chaos Seeds series (recommend), Sufficiently Advanced Magic (Recommend), Occultist Online (recommend) and Life Reset (don't recommend), and this was EXACTLY what I hoped it would be.
The storyline is great, the progression isn't too slow and you can see a real potential for an epic story in the world and setting that the author has built.
My only critique would be that some of the humour falls a bit short, but there are some nice pop culture references in there and I'm sure as Gunnar comes out of his shell he will provide more interesting dialogue with the other characters. No doubt it will build into a very compelling series. I can't wait to dive into the sequel!

Fun read.
Really enjoyed this first book. A good romping adventure. Stats some times tedious though characters engaging.
Some glitches in story but overall very entertaining.
