Summary
"He's going to find me," Sarah whispered. "He's going to find me before you do."
One wrong step in Los Angeles leaves Alex Pascal scarred and traumatized, unable to continue the career she loves.
In England, a drunk driver shatters Sarah Kent's family.
For Sarah, leaving England to explore the North Cascades is an opportunity to regain her health and her confidence, while Alex has already abandoned LA to make the mountains her home. Drawn to the beauty and history of Desolation Peak, Sarah is hiking alone when a storm leaves her stranded. Determined to track her down, Alex heads into the wilderness, never anticipating the terrible danger she will face. Because Sarah is already running for her life, fleeing from a ruthless criminal with a mission to complete and nothing left to lose. With everything stacked against them, neither woman expects to survive, let alone fall in love. All they have to do now is find a way out.

I’m still feeling cold and wet
Fast paced, great action, excellent characters both good and bad AND romance - can’t get better than that.

desolation in paradise
a sunny American coast backdrop with the long shadow of greed and a serial killer.
Great story and narration and entirely plausible with a satisfying climax

Superb story teller
The story held good tension throughout. Believable tale. The winner for me was the performance of the story teller, all the accents were excellent and the passion and fear evident throughout.

Great Story
Another great Cari Hunter book I really enjoyed, but why is it narrated in an American accent?
Nicola Victoria Vincent is an excellent narrator and she’s brilliant at lots of different accents but sadly not American. However the book was so gripping it didn’t spoil it for me

don't like the American accent Nicola narrates in
The narrators English accent keeps breaking through the American one she is narrating in making it something to listen out for rather than following the storyline.

A True Psychological love Story.
This is the first book in a two part series featuring Sarah and Alex. Sarah came to walk on desolation point to escape troubles in England and got far more than what she bargained for. Fighting for her life after being chased by a right-wing group and meeting up with Alex. could they survive?
The best part was where Alex and Sarah were going through the alphabet.
I you do like Nicola Victoria Vincent's narration but for some strange reason she is talking in an American accent which are found in some parts confusing I will certainly listen to her again as she's got such clear addiction and I haven't have found any problems with her other books I've had in the past.
You. can listen to each book as a stand-alone but in my opinion I would listen to them in the. way they were intended, Desolation Point then Tumbledown.
Another great thing is if you have already got this book on Kindle you can get the audible copy at a reduced rate. You you can also read and listen to the book at the same time.
I will certainly be listened to this book again.

More of the same
Yet another variation of this author’s main theme: two women, one a policewoman, fight for their lives out in the wilderness, being hunted by nasty villains, and in the process find to each other. Add to this a dash of medical slang and vivid descriptions of horrific injuries.
