About this listen

Secret Service Agent Oakes Weaver is in the midst of the biggest assignment of her career - leading the advance team for President Andrew Powell's impending trip to Philadelphia where everyone expects he will be nominated to run for a second term. The last thing she needs is a tragedy among the president's inner circle that might not be an accident, or the sudden recruitment of Ari Rostof, a woman who might be a lot more than she seems. But Oakes doesn't get a say in policy, she only has to secure the president's safety - at all costs.

First Daughter Blair Powell and her spouse, Cameron Roberts, are among the reelection campaign members accompanying President Andrew Powell to Philadelphia. While the president may be protected by his Secret Service agents, those close to him are literally in the kill zone, and his adversaries will stop at nothing to further their cause - even mass murder.

wanted more

I loved this series and love much of Radcliffe's books. I was worried when I seen other reviews about the change or narrator but she done really well when I got used to a different person. just strange to have gone the whole series with one narrator to change for the last book.

I do think that this book had so much more in it though. it could have easily been double the length if the individual stories had gone more in depth and the 'attack scenes' played out more which could have been done in a few of these books. but still, I enjoyed and glad that I listened to them all

Loved it.

Another great read, yes the narrator was different but she did a great job and the book itself was just what you would expect.

not great for a final book in a series

Hard to follow, and at times hard to listen to. Disappointed. At times I thought this book could not have been written by Radclyffe, the rhythm was off. I really struggled to finish it.

Story was worth reading

The story was good but I'm not keen on the narrator. Hearing the pervious novels narrated by Abby might have something to do with that. I feel her voice is much more soothing and she portrays the characters much better.

Enjoyed it but...

I enjoyed the book and the narrator was good. My one issue is changing the narrator for the series. You get used to the tone and the voices created by the previous narrator then you're completely thrown by the characters having a different voice and inflection.

Great story.

Another amazing instalment of characters in the Presidential campaign. The manipulation and abhorrent activities in a rollercoaster story.
The narrator was good, Keira started off a bit slow in her performance but then she found her flow and brought together the characters struggles expertly.

Can’t believe Radclyffe listened to this and let it be published!

Having been spoilt with Abby Craden narrating the previous Honor books this narrator is shocking! Ruined the book for me, sounds like an electronic voice. Not a fitting end to a good series. There must have been better narrators available if Abby wasn’t available?

Why???

I’m struggling to understand why the author allowed a different narrator to read the last book in the series!! It is a mess! A complete shambles

I’m so disappointed none of the characters sound remotely like they did all the series through which made the book so difficult to follow, why do this?? It makes no sense! I’m only chapter 1 in and I have an headache, what a waste. I will definitely be returning this hot mess

Such a let down 😔

The voice of the robot I wasted a credit

To say that this was the end of the series and an end should leave you wanting more, the narrator might have been reading a dictionary, the end of chapter 11 I vomited in my mouth. I guess in a way I'm glad up to chapter 12 Abby Craden didn't narrate it, and if there's a story it's not followed on. It's as if a completely different person has written it.
