Summary
I thought I had it all - the perfect life, with the perfect arrangement, with the perfect guy.
To the world, Kevin Peyton is the heartthrob Oscar nominee. To me, he's my best friend, with some sexy benefits.
But then I got a taste of his world. A world where being mobbed by fans, violated by intruders, and stripped of all privacy is the norm. I never realized how brutal being in the spotlight would be.
I didn’t fit into his world. I didn’t fit into his plans. I only wish I’d discovered that before falling in love with him and changing the game plan.
Sometimes changing the game plan changes more than the game. Sometimes it changes your everything.

More please
Ok let me start with the easiest to explain; Erin you are an amazing narrator and your male voice is one of the best I have heard. I love your work always!
Now for the harder part and this might come across as ramblings so brace yourself;
Ryleigh I have tried to find some more detail about you and maybe I just haven’t been looking in the right places but I hope this statement makes sense, you write like an American author but perfect referencing to the places and things in South Africa!
Also I see this is your only audiobook please please tell me there will be more! I could only find 3 of your books on goodreads but you write books like a writer who has written more than that! You totally amazed me and I can’t wait to listen to more of your books!
Thank you for not writing another annoying doubty female character although I would have loved it if Kevin could have groveled a bit more!
I can’t wait to get more of your books on my ears! You are now on my top 10 Author list!

Good Listen
Claire and Kevin has been with each other forever until he goes off and hits it big. He brings Claire into his other life and tries to protect her from the spotlight. They have never put a label to their relationship and when Claire tells him her feelings, everything changes. She does something selfless for her sister and realizes that she can't hide forever. This is a book that takes you on an emotional ride with Claire and Kevin. Good Narration. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Heartbreaking to sweet happy endings
This seems like a typical Friends to real love story but it was so much more. Loved Claire and Kevin’s characters especially because of Erin’s performances. Erin is an exceptional narrator and does male and female characters so very well that it took me away from the world while I listened to it! Another one done by the amazing Erin Mallon and I must admit that she was exceptional again in this book.

Cliche
I really enjoyed Cliche. It was fun and entertaining, and I loved both Kevin and Claire. Their friends to friends-with-benefits to lovers story was sweet and emotional. The storyline with Claire's sister was an added bonus. Erin Mallon is a favorite narrator of mine and, as always, she did a wonderful job bringing this story to life.

Friends to lovers
Forever friends to lovers. I love the long time history of growing up together and knowing the real person and not just what everyone sees. This is a heartwarming story of family and friends with a HEA. The narration was great and I recommend this book.

On the fence with this story
Cliché wasn't my favorite story. The blurb somewhat misled me, as there was a fake-girlfriend factor there too and this element usually doesn't impress me in a storyline. It didn't this time either and from that point on I had a hard time connecting with both the hero and the heroine. Aside from my personal preference the writing itself was technically good I just didn't like quite a few aspects of the story. Claire did a wonderful thing for her sister, that definitely was the best part and stole the limelight.
This was the first time I listened to Erin Mallon's narration. Both her tone and the quality of the recording was pretty good. There were two things though I had a hard time with. One of them was her male voice and the other was the unnecessary emphasis on syllables at the end of sentences. The latter was quite disturbing and felt unnatural.

My Thoughts on Cliché
This was an excellent introduction to this author. It absolutely makes me want more. I loved Claire and Kevin. I loved their friendship and their relationship and just their overall vibe together. I sometimes wished that I could see things from Kevin's POV but this was really well written and there was a lot going on with Claire both when it came to Kevin and outside of her relationship with him. So it worked that things were only told from her view. I loved the Epilogue but kind of felt like the last chapter before that was kind of unnecessary. Overall it was a great story though. And Erin Mallon was great on the narration. If I've got to have a book with only the female POV she is a perfect narrator to really make the most of it.

Sweet and light drama
I haven’t read this author, Ryleigh Sloan, previously but she delivered a cute story. I liked both Claire and Kevin were just fabulous characters. I gotta say, it’s really nice to get a break and have something lighter, something sweet with only a bit of drama. Erin Mallon is one of my complete favorite narrators. If she reads it, I must buy it! I adore the way she adds to stories giving them life and a pulse.
