Summary
From USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa comes a heart-gripping, single mom, age gap, secret billionaire romance.
I don’t have time for flings.
Love is out of the question.
As a single mom and small-town doctor, my plate is more than full.
But when Drake Kershaw, an experienced physician with a mysterious past, comes into my life, I can't resist his charm. He’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met before.
Drake is smart, charming, and has a heart of gold.
But he’s also grumpy and hesitant to let anyone close.
Like the rest of his wealthy family, he’s full of secrets.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s dangerous.
I should stay away, but how can I when he works in my practice?
And despite his grumpiness, Drake is amazing with my son.
He’s patient and kind and has a way of making him laugh that always melts my heart.
Watching them together, I can imagine a future–a future that could never happen.
But can we find a way to overcome our emotional scars and build a future together?
A Place Like You is the first book in the Heartwood Lake Secret Billionaire Series—an emotional rollercoaster of a journey that combines the intense drama of Succession and the hilarity of Schitt's Creek. A must-listen.

Phenomenal start! Meet Drake & Wren!
Things always happen for a reason. Tell that to Drake. Called to the small town of Heartwood Lake to be put in the witness protection program with all of his half siblings and stepmothers, he is not happy. Under the protection of Finnigan Gill though, he knows this is serious and has no idea how long it will be. He needs something to do, after all, he is a doctor. Finding the clinic and Wren is just the start of this adventure. Wren is a single mother and has no time for relationships. But slowly, Drake worms his way in. Will it last though? Well there is a lot going on. Siblings together for the long haul as they all get to know each other are trying their best, but it's not easy. Wren with Milo and trying to find the time this little boy deserves. Wren and Drake holding secrets that can get in the way of their budding relationship! Where does it all go? Finding the place that is truly home. I cannot wait to get to know the other siblings, this is going to be a fantastic series.
Patrick Zeller and Grace Grant introduce us to the Thorndale/Kershaw family and what an introduction it is. Drake is salty, and a bit broody to start, but as he comes around to loving small town life, his demeanor changes., Zeller is completely in tune with every facet of his personality and swings right along with Drake. Grant is the emotional one. Wren holds in her feelings, but it's easy to get in her head and know her through Grant's narration. This is a fabulous team and wonderful listen.

Sweet & Swoony
Drake and his siblings find themselves relocated to Heartwood Ranch, where the town and its people will become their new home for an unknown length of time.
They all had to leave everything behind and start fresh.
But what Drake never expected in this small town was the instant electricity that sparked between him and the town doctor.
Wren and Milo a package deal, and Wren has a habit of keeping people at arms length, other than her closest friends from childhood. Will Drake be able to push through her walls?
Milo is the absolute cutest little guy and I adore how much he loves Drake. I love his fascination with dinosaurs.

Amazing Story & Brilliant Start A New Series!
Claudia Burgoa pens another amazing novel, and it is a brilliant start to her new series, the “Heartwood Lake Secret Billionaires”. Burgoa is the queen of crossover characters, which is a treat for those who are familiar with her books, as well as those new because they will leave you intrigued and wanting to know more about them. That said, we get cameo’s of Finnegan Gill, who, with his partner Derek Farrow, specializes in security and protection and he turned the small town of Heartwood Lake into a safe place for those in witness protection. Some residents are aware and work with them, including Wren Lynch, a single mom of an adorable five-year-old son, Milo, and a doctor who runs the town’s clinic. Wren has her own reason for coming to Heartwood Lake, but she now calls it home. Drake Kershaw, formerly known as Drake Thorndale and his half brothers and sisters, as well as his stepmoms, were all brought to Heartwood Lake because of the danger their father brought to their door. Drake is the outcast of the family, his father did not help matters either, but he became a successful surgeon and being thrown back with all his half-siblings and step-moms is not ideal for him and he asks Finnegan to get him a real job. Finnegan asks Wren to have him work in the clinic, but she was hesitant, thinking his stay in town is temporary stay and she does not want to get attached. When overwhelmed with incoming patients, she calls him in and he is in his element. It was great to watch these two get to know each other, there is undeniable chemistry between them, but it takes Wren a while before she lets the walls around her heart down to let him in. I loved the complexity of the characters and it was also great to learn more about their backstories and what brought them to Heartwood Lake. This first book of the series lays down the foundation of what is going to come and I am looking forward to learn more about the rest of the Kershaw’s and some of the townsfolk, who were great secondary characters. As always, Burgoa’s writing, plot and world building is fantastic, as are the character growth and development. This wonderful small town romance has the perfect balance of drama, charming humor, heartfelt emotions and romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Grace Grant and Patrick Zeller were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, grasping every aspect of their character’s personality, sounding believable and just as I imagined they would sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Gteat start to the series
This book was really good it has some amazing tropes such as small town, single mom, and age gap.
Drake and Wren were so good together! Wren was so against a relationship with Drake in the beginning, but soon realised that he wasn't who she thought he was.
This is the first book in the series, and I can't wait for more.
The narrators were good I enjoyed Wrens character the most.

Drake & Wren
Welcome to Heartwood Lake, where not everything is as it seems. Quaint little town in Colorado, where many inhabitants seem to have long lost family members coming to visit for long periods of time.
In this book, we are introduced to a new series, a new family, a new set of HEA and a whole lot of action. Drake and Wren’s story is the first one in what promises to be a good series. They live stuck in the past, not having overcome childhood trauma and recent events and unable to withstand change. Meeting each other was the kick they both needed to start fresh, move on and accept.
Grace Grant and Patrick Zellar gave their voices to Wren and Drake.
