Summary
For years, one man has ruled Sophia’s fantasies. The harmless obsession keeps her warm on the nights her double life starts to take its toll. She, unfortunately, gains his attention at the worst possible moment when she’s in the middle of a dangerous job. Now, she’ll be forced to protect her heart along with her life of lies.
Viktor has been tempted by the innocent princess’s lust-filled glances for far too long, and he has fought hard to resist her beauty. When her secrets finally draw him in, getting through her royal guard proves a minor inconvenience. But one sexually charged night isn’t enough. He wants more, including whatever she’s hiding beneath that demure façade.
As much as Sophia wants Viktor, she can never fully allow him in, because her secrets aren’t her own. Viktor is determined to have all of his princess. Will they find a way to be together, or will her dangerous secrets tear them apart?

✨duet narration✨
I’m not usually someone who likes third person POV and while at first that had me struggling to get into the story, by the end the duet narration had worked its magic and I stopped noticing! 🫢

4.5 Stars!
An action-filled, fresh take on a royal romance!
Princess Sophia leads a double life. By day, she is a regular crown princess to a small nation, by night, part of a mercenary group that take down some of the most dangerous and powerful men. Throughout all of this, one man has ruled Sophia’s mind and fantasies for years. Unfortunately, she has now seem to have gained his attention at the worst possible time, when she’s in the middle of a dangerous job. Now, she’ll be forced to protect her heart along with her life of lies.
Viktor is the Russian billionaire that has had his eyes on who he presumes is just an innocent princess for a while. He is from an ex-Bratva family and has his own secrets.
This was an action filled royal romance that was a fresh and interesting take on royal romances. The fact that Sophia was such a bad-a** and part of a group of mercenary women who took down bad guys made it all the more interesting and made me love it more.
I absolutely adored Viktor and Sophia together. They were soo good together. They had such different backgrounds, yet grew to have such similar goals and essentially were doing similar work without realising gave an great foundation for their meetings and relationship. I also loved how protective Viktor was! ❤️
It was so fun to watch them get to know each other and uncover each other’s secrets. The story was also 🔥 However, I do wish we had gotten more of them just being together; the story was fast paced, although a little too fast paced at times. Regardless, this book was thrilling and I truly enjoyed being in this world!
The book was narrated by Troy Duran and Angelina Rocca. They both did excellent as Viktor and Sophia respectively. They understood the assignment! Duran brought to life Viktor’s swoony and protective personality. Whilst, Rocca perfectly encapsulated Sophia’s calm, hidden nature when performing her princess duties, as well as her fierce nature when in her element as a mercenary. They also brought the overall story to life. They were both perfectly casted and made my listening experience great! The fact that the audio is in duet narration made it all the more beautiful to listen to! Highly recommend!

Viktor & Sophia
3.75 stars
I felt a bit cheated by the title and the blurb.
Princess Sophia has covert skills but not in a mercenary kind way.
The seggsy scenes were very good but I felt there wasn’t enough story to keep me engaged.
On the other hand, the narrators were very engaging and saved the book for me. Thank you Troy Duran and Angelina Rocca.

Mercenary Princess
ALC Audiobook Review
Mercenary Princess is the first book in the Mercenary Socialites series. Sophia is a princess in her day to day life. Her mother is determined to find her an eligible husband. Sophia is a secret mercenary. Viktor is from an ex-bratva family, billionaire. The sexual tension between them is incredible. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next.
Angelina Rocca and Troy Durant did a phenomenal job narrating this book in duet style narration.

A little of poor organisation
There was lot of information but very little text. This gave a vague understanding of on how the princess became a mercenary. Overall Duran and Rocca narrations are a great match …..a bit more editing would give this book 5 stars…
I will try and listen to it again.

Romantic suspense!!
Where to start with this romantic suspense, age gap, royal, contemporary romance? Let's meet Sophia, a princess sent to boarding school She and her friends have come together to seek justice for a murder they witnessed and now are avenging other wrongdoings She knows she is expected to follow the family with an arranged marriage, but she is going to do whatever it takes to live her life the way she wants. She has always been attracted to him, but she knows they cannot act on it. Well, no one passed the memo to Viktor! And our story really begins. Setta Jay has created an original take on mafia life, giving this spunky, smart woman a lot of guts! Sophia is an amazing character, love that she knows what she wants, is cunning enough to get it. Viktor is quite the man, connected enough to get the information he needs, but more importantly knows his heart. This is a fantastic start to this series, exciting, spicy and full of twists and turns. Cannot wait for book 2.
The narration for this book is off the charts! Angelina Rocca dives into Sophia, with determination and passion. She nails each of her emotions, from fear and frustration to love. Tory Duran comes in this duet narration with a variety of accents, spot on to each character and giving each a distinctive sound. I loved his team and hope they continue with this series.

Excellent Story, Characters & Narration🎧
This is an excellent start to an exciting series, the “Mercenary Socialites” series, and it is not your average or even ordinary princess or mercenary story, it is so much more. The story is original with interesting storylines that captivate your attention from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, as well as easy to care about. Princess Sophia attended a private boarding school where she and her friends witness a murder, a murder that was covered up and years later she and her friends are on a mission to seek justice for that murder and for more evils committed by the one responsible. She is part of a secretive mercenary group who has the means to get the information and tools she needs to complete the mission. While on this mission she sees Viktor, the man who she has fantasized about since he first met him, but she cannot risk getting involved with him at the moment. That does not stop him from pursuing her or his curiosity to see what she is up to, because he knows she is hiding something. This is a fast-paced story and there is never a dull moment, besides the danger of the mission she is on, Sophia is dealing with her brother, a royal PITA who is looking to arrange a marriage for her and her unloving mother. Viktor and Sophia's chemistry is undeniable, and their secret trysts are smoking hot. When he discovers what she is up to and what her brother has planned, he puts his own plan into motion. Sophia can handle herself and she is no damsel in distress. She thinks on her feet and finds her own exit plan. This contemporary romantic suspense is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Setta Jay, thank you for the fascinating story and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧And for the fabulous narration, Angelina Rocca and Troy Duran were the perfect cast to bring the characters and story to life. They understood the characters they portrayed, giving each a voice that was fitting, and they were believable in every role they played. Rocca was fabulous as Sophia, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her fierceness to her determination. Duran’s Viktor was spot on, playing the swoon worthy alpha with perfection, accent and all. Both were fantastic in covering the secondary characters’ roles too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and enjoyable to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Great story from start to finish
Sophia is not your average Princess, that's for sure!! I loved this book. Sophia and Victor are perfect. I loved how determined Sophia is to make a difference, even if no one knows it's her that's doing it. She is a strong FMC and definitely knows what she wants and goes agter it.
Victor is your typical protective MMC who will do anything to get what he wants, and what he wants is Sophia. Even though Sophia has been infatuated with Victor for years once he sees beyond Sophia's mask, he is intrigued and will stop at nothing to have Sophia.
This book is jam-packed, and I was hooked from the very start. I am definitely excited to read the rest of the series.
The narrators were perfect for this book. They br Sophia and Victor to life amazingly and made me enjoy the story even more.
