Summary

"We're losing him!" came a frantic voice over the headset.

"I'm still here," the pilot insisted.

"We're losing..." the voice cut out and then there was silence.

"Control, do you read me? Control?" the pilot was panicking.

There was no answer. Suddenly flames burst out all around him. The last thing he remembered was reaching for the eject switch, before his thoughts devolved into an inky black void.

The mysterious pilot was brought into the military hospital unconscious. The base didn't know who he was. Some thought he was an alien, some thought he was a Russian spy all because of the unknown, yet highly advanced airplane he was flying at the time of his crash.

When the pilot awakes, he has amnesia. He gradually gets his memory back only to find that he is not only in the wrong place, he is also in the wrong time.

An engaging story though narrator need perseverance

I have to agree with the other reviewer; the narration is mechanical and really lets the story down (but not enough that I haven’t listened to both book 1 and the next one) the story itself is engaging although I guessed much of what would happen , I have also read the second book and about to start the third book now. I would recommend it.
Note this audio book was given to me for free and this is an honest review of what I think.

Interesting take on time travel

Good story with an interesting way of dealing with time travel and avoiding changing time. Good narration which kept me engaged.

Tedious story, terrible narration

Honestly one of the most disappointing audiobooks I’ve listened to in ages.
From the title and teaser, I really expected something interesting involving science fiction, but apart from about 2 pages of exposition, there’s no science and really rather dreary fiction that isn’t even particularly well written.

What little was good about the story was utterly wrecked by the narrator. This guy is a professional voice actor? Terribly mechanics reading - like someone learning to read English. It was like listening to Siri - not even noticeable pauses between paragraphs.

Avoid.
