Summary
On May 15, 1975, teenager Ginny Lemon is abducted from a convenience store in Fort Lauderdale by a member of one of the most notorious and brutal motorcycle gangs in South Florida. From that moment on, her life is forever changed. She gets a new name, a new identity, and a new life in the midst of the gang's base on the edge of the Florida Everglades—a frightening, rough, and violent world much like the swamps themselves, where everyone has an alias and loyalty is tantamount to survival. And at the center of it all is the gang's leader, Grizz: massive, ruggedly handsome, terrifying, and somehow, when it comes to Ginny, tender.
So begins a tale of emotional obsession and manipulation, of a young woman ripped from everything she knows. Precocious and intelligent but still very much a teenager, Ginny struggles to adapt to her existence, initially fighting and then coming to terms with her captivity. Will she be rescued? Will she escape? Will she get out alive—or get out at all?

Best Read In A Long Time
you know when a book is good when it makes you cry. I loved this story could not wait for the next chapter. what a love story coming from a scary start the big biker falling so hard and Kit such a worthy lady love.great narration, I did not think this book would be this good would make a great film now must get the next one

Well...
So I finished listening to this a couple of days ago and it has taken me a while to put my thoughts together and decide on a rating. This is unlike anything I've read before, it's a dark MC romance about 15 year old Ginny who is Kidnapped by a member of the MC to be a "gift" for their leader Grizz. This is NOT your typical Dark Romance as doesn't have a typical HEA and yes dark themes and things occur but it isn't overly graphic. It is told from Ginny's POV but more like an autobiography would be than you being in the moment as things happened.
I don't want to and can't go into details in regards to the plot or characters without potentially spoiling it so I won't be doing that. What I will say is this gripped my attention from the very start and kept it through to the end. The writing was compelling as I kept waiting for the shoe to drop, the romance aspect was a little glossed over for my liking at times and I wanted a bit more character depth overall but there is a second and third book and after that ending I'm hoping we will get more of the above in those as you are definitely left with more questions than answers by the end of the book. The narrator was new to me and I really enjoyed her performance. I will definitely be delving into book 2 at some point because as much as potentially you could end the story with book one if you wanted to... my nosey ass needs answers! 😂

Fantastic
Wow!!!
What can I say? This book blew me away. Book hangover at its most extreme.
Even though you know you shouldn't you still fall in love with Grizz. Everything about this book screams OMFG, but you still find yourself rooting for the HEA (well I did). I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I sobbed. A love story at its worse. Loved loved loved it. Fantastic book. What a find. Beautifully written. Can't wait for book 2.

Loved it
Absolutely gripped from start to finish. I can't wait to listen to the next in this series.
I would highly recommend this audio book. The narrator performed it perfectly and the story is gritty and beautiful at the same time.

An uncomfortable read
This is not your usual MC biker book where men have a tough exterior but sensitive soul. These people are not nice however the story is compelling and disturbing . The fact that echoes remains after the story ends and that I was surprised by the storyline leads me to believe that this is a very good book . Read and you will understand

A moving and unusual story
The characters were well developed and the story was sensitively told. Some very violent and disturbing parts. But a very different story starting with the end which explains the title of the book.
