Disjointed
Not for me, wont get another. Jumps from one scenario to another with no link and I just got lost. Tries to be too clever and ended up losing me. Well read.

Not one of my favourites
Good storyline, typical likeable Jack Frost,the narrator Crawford Logan wasn't in my opinion suited to Touch of Frost storylines.

The narrater was fantastic, totally made this story. I hope he will do more of the frost books, cant wait for the next one.

Good, follows on nicely from the other 4 prequels
Although written by a different author (James Henry) from the 4 prequel Frost novels this follows on nicely and retains the usual characters etc.
My only criticism is Frost is not as funny or indeed as slapdash as in the previous books and has infinately more serious persona.
Mullett on the other hand, although not as irritating he is also not as slimey and self promoting, which we've come to expect from him.
A good story, kept my attention which is paramount for an audio book.
Ready for the next one now, but sadly seems to be the last.
Not a bad narration from Crawford Logan.

Really enjoy the series.
Really enjoyed it. Love the characters. It is quirky and nostalgic of it's era. Deals with difficult issues well.

sorry, but just not 'frosy'
couldn't finish this book. author not captured the nature or personality of the character. I also found the character of frost was not in the story very often

A poor attempt at writing Frost
I complained about the preceding Frost book and said it was the worst of the series so far. It didn't retain that title for long. Not only was this boring, it didn't even feel like a Frost book. The Frost formula is simple: Frost is a slovenly and disorganised but well-intentioned old school copper who gets buried in a heap of cases and whose methods ultimately get him in trouble. There are several crimes in this, but all neatly tie together in a distinctly non Frost way. There's no sense of tension, with too much time spent on almost soap opera scenes of characters and the author's love of showing off his vocabulary slows it down even more. None of the characters are well served, but Mullett comes off by far the worst. He's so out of character it may as well have been somebody else entirely. The whole thing feels like the author took the first draft of a different book and made some small changes (mainly the names.) Finally, it's not funny. Frost books usually manage to find the humour in very dark scenarios, but this goes out of its way to include bizarre scenarios but the humour still falls flat
