About this listen

Angie, 6, and sister Polly, 4, are utterly distraught when they arrive to stay with foster carer Cathy Glass. Their older half-sister Ashleigh has accused their father of something horrible, and the two young sisters have been removed from home to keep them safe.

Cathy tries to comfort the girls, but they are inconsolable. They just want their mummy and daddy, whom they love dearly.

The girls appear to have been well looked after, but as they settle and start to talk of life at home, it becomes clear something is badly wrong. Then a chance remark sets in motion a chain of events that eventually changes everything.

Such a sad story

This story really grabbed me as I have been in Celines situation!
False accusations that crushes your life, the anguish, the sadness, fear and all the stress that you have to go through 😭
I feel for this family and as usual Cathy does a great job!

Thank you for all the good work you do♥️

Fantastic book.

I loved listening to Cathy's latest book, just as I've loved every single book she's written. Brilliantly read by Deneica Fairman as usual.

A family torn apart

My heart went out to the two little girls.
It must be heart breaking witnessing their pain.
And having covid in the mix doesn't help, I hope the eldest got the help she really needs. Listened to it in one session over night while I couldn't sleep. Looking forward to listening to the next book. The narrator is brilliant, she reads it out perfect and really pulls you in with each character.

Good story, narrator not great

Good story, off putting narrator, sounded really terrible with the voices put on for certain characters.
