Marie Bruce is a popular and prolific author and columnist, producing over 30 books, including The Witch's Almanac, which was updated and re-released every year for ten years. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing from Sheffield Hallam University (2021) and studied Advanced Creative Writing & Gothic Literature at the University of Oxford (2024). Since 1998 she has been consistently published, predominantly in the Mind, Body, Spirit genre where she remains one of the leading authors in her field. She has held long-term Core Contributor contracts with both Bauer Publishing and Time Inc. producing lead articles and features for various magazines including Prediction, It's Fate, Fate & Fortune, Witchcraft & Wicca, Soul & Spirit, Writer's Forum, Pagan Dawn and more. Marie also wrote a key-stone column on practical witchcraft for UK esoteric magazine, Spirit & Destiny, for over eight years. Since 2018 she has been with Kindred Spirit magazine, writing various columns and contributions for them, including her self-help column Creative Counselling. She is the author and creator of several oracle card decks including The Celtic Magic Book & Card Deck and The Moon Magic Book & Card Deck. Marie is also a fully qualified Clinical Psychotherapist with a four year Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Sheffield Hallam University (2018) and so she writes on many psychology topics too, including her popular book The Wiccan Guide to Self Care. Writing as Jacqueline Bruce she has produced a series of self-help therapeutic writing journals on topics such as gratitude, self-awareness and manifestation. When she isn't writing books she is often riding horses, playing the piano, singing, ice-skating and writing book reviews on her blog ShimmerCast Dreams. She lives in Yorkshire, close to the Pennine Trail, in the UK.
