Laurie Cameron is dedicated to increasing joy and alleviating suffering in the workplace, education, healthcare and the home, and is an international master mindfulness teacher, executive leadership coach and author. She is a learning mentor and teacher trainer at the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being, and a frequent guest professor at the RH Smith School of Business teaching Mindful Leadership. Laurie is a sought-after speaker and frequently travels in the US, Europe and Asia sharing the power of mindfulness and compassion. Known for her warmth, energy and humor, Laurie has dedicated over twenty years to the science and application of human flourishing and adult development- working at the intersection of emotional intelligence, positive psychology, compassion and neuroscience. Laurie lived and worked in Europe, Brazil and the US, and draws on her depth of business experience as a senior leader with Accenture's Change Management practice and her work with Google, Deloitte, Capital One, Cisco, Scripps Media, HJ Heinz and federal government agencies. In addition to speaking and writing, Laurie is the Founder and CEO of PurposeBlue – an organization that brings evidence-based mindful leadership programs to companies, change makers, culture-shifters, universities and federal agencies. She received the Five Mindfulness Trainings in a quiet sunrise ceremony from Thich Nhat Hanh, and was given the dharma name Fresh Lovingkindness of the Heart. Laurie is also known for her inability to leave a dance floor, for her insatiable desire to swim in salt water, and for her love of poetry and art.
