Hi folks, I wrote my first book, Follow the Dove, to fulfil a lifetime ambition, and to say something about my island home. I was overwhelmed by the response I had locally. The paperback flew off the shelves, people stopped me in the street and phoned me up to tell me how much they enjoyed it and asked me when the sequel would be written. This gave me the courage to write another, a third, a fourth and now working on a sixth. My book of short stories, Gone with the Tide, is often free if you want to sample the quality of my writing. I have also written a contemporary novella, Song for an Eagle, and two non-fictions, The Locket and a Five Taka Note and Beyond the Pain with Abdul Mkith. I was born on the island of Stroma, now uninhabited, and many of the stories in my novel are loosely based on fact.
