The familiar world collapsed overnight. As the Transformation progressed, disasters occurred throughout the Earth. Materials changed their properties, new species of flora and fauna appeared. The Game converted our world into a huge dungeon, completely replacing the previous civilization. However, the alien plans for Earth began to go awry from the very beginning. The conversion was less successful than expected. An ordinary young man stole the bonus for the first gaming action, depriving the invaders of their perk.

Jacob Knight wakes up to a bloodbath at the mall, with him at the epicenter. He is quickly arrested and forced to fight on a secret squad of metahumans who are given a choice between forced military service or prison. The problem is, he has no idea what his ability is, and no one will give him a straight answer. But one thing is clear: he needs to figure it out, and fast, since the success of his first mission hinges on him.

Fresh from the events of the Academy's end of year tournament, Half-Orc Lugor and his party are on their first official Guild assignment. Their mission? Aid in the creation of a new settlement on a recently discovered landmass. Unfortunately, Lugor is finding out that nothing in life ever comes easy. Disaster strikes on arrival, and there is no way to contact his mentor Maric for help. The expedition starts crumbling, and Lugor must find a way to keep the new settlement from falling apart.

But when his world is turned upside down in a monster attack on his village, Lugor seeks training at the Adventurer Academy, where he can learn to become the champion that he was born to be.
