The year is 1975. Bill and Bob are two American friends on leave from their foreign study programs in Germany. They plan to drive across Europe and into the Balkans, with their sights set on visiting Istanbul and exploring the Turkish coast. Their plans take a sudden detour when they meet George—a renowned Armenian-Iraqi competitive bicycle racer with an irresistible personality and a flair for the dramatic.
