Poetry can capture the imagination in a few short lines but narrative verse or poetry takes the form of telling a story whether it be simple or complex in a longer form. Among the most ancient forms of poetry it has widespread roots through almost every culture. In Volume 1 we bring you 'The Ballad of Reading Gaol' - Oscar Wilde; 'The Highwayman' - Alfred Noyes; and 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' - Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

The ballad is one of the oldest poetic forms in English and are simply poems or songs that tell a story. Maybe it’s because of childhood associations or that we all enjoy a cracking good story told in rhyme but as this volume demonstrates, the ballad has endless appeal. This book is written for the purpose of uplifting, encouraging, and giving a good direction to a good path to keep away from problems, trouble with others and the law. Try to stay behind the law and not in front. With this book, changes could come in the right direction. You can't take the fish out of the water and keep them separate for a long period of time; the fish will die. The creator created the fish to be in the water, created the plants and trees to be in earth. You separate the earth from the plants or trees for a long period of time, they will die.
