Paralyzed in a workplace accident, Lox's life is looking bleak. He can't even use the cutting-edge hardware that would allow him to play in the full-immersion games that have become so popular. They offer him the ability to use their hardware despite his injuries, but at a cost...he can never leave the game.

Ezekiel died on Earth only to be resurrected in the body of a Lich. Well, now he’d done it. He was only playing the villain to blow off steam, now he was stuck in the body of one.

Lox has made friends and gotten a good start to his new life in WoM. After spending some time hunting down the remnants of the pirate fleet, Lox is guided by Vannessa down to the Kingdom of Sails. There he gets swept up a quest that will shake this kingdom to its core. Sailing his ship, the Audacious, Lox embraces a life of the high seas and explores this strange realm nestled in one of the most beautiful and enormous archipelagoes in any world.

The time spent clearing the city of Westia was beneficial for all the immortals, making them stronger. But Lox is restless. Not wanting to settle down in the city they were building for the immortals, he leaves the city behind in search of new magic and wanders out in the Shattered Continent. Lox soon finds himself in the magical city of Mardis Dane. Floating in the clouds, the city is everything Lox hoped it would be, full of magic and mysteries. But all is not well, and soon unknown forces will ravage this wondrous city...

Immortality comes at a steep price. Faced with a heartrending loss, Lox walks down a dark path. He knew there would be a cost for immortality, but he didn’t know he would have to face it so soon.

The aftermath of the naval battle for Westia has left Vannessa and Zirkseas broken. Lox is faced with two goals: find a way to heal the people he cares about, and hunt down Ike for a little payback.

Dort wird er in eine Quest hineingezogen, die das Königreich in seinen Grundfesten erschüttern wird. Auf seinem Schiff, der Kühnheit, lässt sich Lox auf ein Leben auf hoher See ein und erkundet dieses seltsame Reich, das in einem der schönsten und größten Archipele der Welt liegt.

Durch einen Arbeitsunfall gelähmt, sieht das Leben von Lox düster aus. Er kann nicht einmal die hochmoderne Hardware benutzen, die es ihm ermöglichen würde, in den beliebten Full-Immersion-Spielen zu spielen. Das ändert sich, als er von New Universal Frontiers hört, dem Unternehmen mit dem besten Spiel, das es gibt: Welt der Magie.
