Zum Glück findet Max zwischen all dem Gerümpel in der Garage wertvolles Baumaterial für den Schrecken der Meere... "Ich bin schon bald vier!", ruft Max. Und wer so alt ist, der kann auch ein Kaninchen zum Geburtstag bekommen. Leider sind seine Eltern da ganz anderer Meinung. Aber Max weiß schon, wie er sie umstimmen kann. Doch er muss sich beeilen, sonst wird das süßeste schwarze Kaninchen der Welt an jemand anderen verkauft.

Hurra! Max fährt in den Ferien mit Mama und Papa, seiner Freundin Pauline und ihrer Mutter auf einen Bauernhof. Bald ist das Auto voll beladen und die Reise beginnt. Als Max nämlich einmal ganz dringend nachts Pipi muss, ist das Flurlicht, das nachts sonst immer an ist, aus! Es ist stockfinster im Flur. Und der Lichtschalter ist so weit weg. Max hat Angst.
