Legend of the Shaman is the third book in the Wyakin Trilogy. It continues with the tale of Cortez Modrables, as he continues his life as shaman/healer to a non-treaty band of Nez Perce Native Americans during their tragic conflicts with the US government over the lands of the Northwest in the 1870s. Cortez was intimately involved with the famed trek of the Nez Perce from Idaho Territory to British North America (Canada).

Legend of the Dreamer is the second book in the Wyakin Trilogy. The book continues to follow the life and adventures of Cortez Modrables from his adoption by a band of Nez Perce native Americans through his maturing years becoming a "healer/shaman".Through these growing experiences, Cortez continues to be guided and protected by his great grizzly wyakin: Modrables, El Oso.

Philip is a state senator and has ambitions toward being governor. His fear is that his sheepherder father will embarrass him politically with his land-grant ways and ancient Penitente beliefs. Philip has placed Beneficio in an Albuquerque rest home with the self-justification of "taking care of Papa".

The Man Who Moiled for Gold draws its title from the Robert W. Service poem: "The Cremation of Sam McGee". The poem tells of suffering, loneliness, frustration, and ultimately death. Charley Martin experienced all of these emotions along with love and success while becoming the man who moiled for gold. Charley Martin, in 1912, is found mining the hard rock of Butte, Montana. Years of breathing the fine quartz dust in the pits have given Charley silicosis. Discovery of this incurable condition, by the mine super, brought an abrupt change to the 69-year old miner's life.
