هكذا يستهل كاتب الرعب الشاب روايته "الجلسة التاسعة" لتجد نفسك وقد وقعت في الفخ وغرقت في أحداثها حتى تصل إلى مرحلة اللاعودة حيث تبدأ القصّة بتورّط طبيبٍ نفسي بفضيحةٍ أخلاقية الأمر الذي يجبره على الهرب ليستقر في قريةٍ نائية وفقيرة ويبدأ العمل من جديد في مكانٍ لا يعرفه فيه أحد ولا يسأله عن ماضيه إنسان إلى أن أتت تلك المرأة وبصحبتها دفترٌ عجيب لتطلب منه إقناع زوجها المريض والقابع في البيت بكل ما يحتويه هذا الدفتر من قصص غريبة وأحداث عجائبية عن طريق جلسات نفسية مقابل مبلغٍ مالي.
