Summary

Yoga Nidra is considered to be the state in which the Gods reside. This is because the goal of Yoga Nidra is to attain complete relaxation while maintaining consciousness. The ability to do this allows for our deepest levels of creativity and healing energies to come to the surface. One session of Yoga Nidra is equal to approximately 3 hours of sleep in its ability to rejuvenate. Most of us when we sleep never really relax and truly let go into the deepest recesses of our unconscious and our connection to creation. This is what yoga nidra provides, the deep connection to our unconscious that leads to wholeness.

During a Yoga Nidra session you simply lie down and follow the instruction given without strain or undue effort. What comes easily, you do, what doesn't, you let it pass. You will also be asked to choose a resolution, something that you would like to develop in your life that will have a positive effect on your path to healing. The seed of this intention when spoken at the beginning and the end of Yoga Nidra gets planted deep into the unconscious where it motivates changes in behaviour and lifestyle situations that support your deepest heart's desire for healing to unfold. Yoga Nidra is suitable for all, and only requires the inner desire to discover relaxation and wholeness.

Best relaxation book ever.

I have read widely about Yoga Nidra, but the guided meditation supplied with this book is one of the best I have ever experienced. After experiencing the waking sleep you will be addicted to the feeling of being refreshed and ready to take on the challenges of the day.

really takes you into a complete relaxation

Very good. Very directive and lots of quick fast visuals. Lovely voice and easy to do. Two half hour sessions. I would recommend this.

Love this

I use this on longhaul flights to relax and recharge because I can't sleep. This is such a lovely pair of meditations which make you feel amazing.

Absolute bliss.

The narrator's voice is soothing. Suppose to keep awake during the session, no chance I fall asleep. I would recommend to anyone stress or having difficulty going to sleep.

Great introduction to the practice of Yoga Nidra

I had never heard of Yoga Nidra up until an Australian friend introduced me to it. Well worth practicing to relax and meditate while staying awake and conscious, that's the hardest part😊
