Fight for your love
Elin and Ty were made for each other. They were and still are madly in love. But they're going through a rough spot. So much so this is definitely a marriage in trouble trope kinda book. It's hard to read and I shed a tear or 5. the audio was amazing and I didn't realise how much I would love this.

Emotional
What an absolute emotional roller coaster. This was such an intense story, it was raw and heartbreaking and full of visceral emotions.
Elin & Ty are high school sweethearts, but they are in the fight of a lifetime, where old hurts, and wounds feel fresh, but so do old joys and hope.
Both Emma Wilder and Lance Greenfield bring all of the emotions, the love, joy, friendships, the passion, heartaches and heartbreak to life. They do such a great job bringing all the array of emotions to the surface, so you feel them as the characters are dealing with them.

Beautiful Story & Listen🎧 Moving & Emotional!
This is my second time listening to Adriana Locke’s deeply emotional story, and it was just as moving as the first time. This book is Elin and Ty Whitt’s story and wow what a story it is, a story grabs you like no other, and captivates your attention the entire time, so much so that nothing else around you matters except what is going to happen next. I loved how realistic these characters are, they are easy to relate to, connect with, and even care about. The secondary/support characters were just as amazing, and as much as I adored Elin and Ty, Cord is still a favorite and holds a special place in my heart. Elin and Ty’s marriage is on the rocks, between his injury, inability to work and other pressures in life it got too much for them, instead of dealing with it together Ty takes off to deal with it on his own, leaving Elin broken hearted. When he comes to his senses and wants her back, Elin is not sure she wants him back or can forgive or trust him to not leave again when things get tough, but Ty will not give up on her and will fight for what he wants, her. I loved how everything plays out in this book and also loved the camaraderie and the dynamics of the tight-knit circle of friends, how they supported each other and were there in time of need. This beautifully written and plotted romance story takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride and there is plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt moments, heartbreaking moments, and some heart pounding scenes that will bring you to the edge of your seat. Adriana Locke, thank you for another amazing story and unforgettable love story.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Emma Wilder and Lance Greenfield did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. They had a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable. Wilder absolutely nailed it as Erin, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her vulnerable side to her strength and all in between, including her caring side. Greenfield’s Ty was spot on, he too grasped every aspect of his personality, his determination, and his strengths too. Both were equally fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and their performance elevates this already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.

So emotional
This storyline packs quite a punch. I sobbed like a baby. Tissues are a must. I found the beginning a little slow to start however it was such a great read. Lovely characters.

Ellin and Ty!
Written in the Scars by Adriana Locke had me blown away. The writing was stunning. There was so much depth and emotion wrapped up in these two characters.
Written in the Scars follows Ellin and Ty through a tough go at life. My heart hurt for them so much, in this very emotional second chance romance, you see the hard side of marriages, loss, love loss and financial struggles of a blue-collar family.
Adriana whittled a love story that truly tested you, a love story that made you cry, and a love story that sometimes made you want to sit these two down, lock them in a room and make them hash it out.
I felt personally it was a little too hard for me to get through (Check your triggers) but, the story gripped me and refused to allow me to put it down.
I listened to this book on audio. The audio was performed by Emma Wilder – Queen Emma and Lance Greenfield. While I enjoyed Lance, and how I felt his portrayal of Ty was pretty spot on for the internal conflict he faced, the struggles with his own demons – The show stopper… Was Emma Wilder. My beans she had be in such an emotional chokehold, floored with the range of emotions she poured out of those pages.

Deep scars don't heal easy. Be prepared to cry.
This story made me feel every up and down the characters went through and both Emma Wilder and Lance Greenfield brought the characters to life. They conveyed every emotion they went through and I heard the emotion in their voices and felt it all along with them.
Adriana Locke wrote a beautifully emotional story that I loved and when put in audio form it packed an even bigger emotional punch.
I can't recommend this story enough, whether you read the book or listen to the audio don't miss out on this story.

Ty & Elin
This book was not what I expected and definitely not your typical Adriana Locke book but it was sooo good. My heart is still crying.
In this book we don’t just have a couple trying to fix their marriage and going through the motions of getting back to their normal but also a group of friends that become a found family and the sacrifices they make for each other. This book was just beautiful!!
I listened to the new recorded version of the audiobook with Lance Greenfield as Ty and Emma Wilder as Elin. Both narrators were fantastic but I feel Lance was the absolute best with his portrait of Ty especially towards the end of the book when (no spoiler) something deeply moving happens.

Love every version of this story!
Written in the Scars was my first Adriana book many years ago. I finally decided to listen to the audiobook & wow!! The narrators brought it to the next level. I knew what was going to happen but their performances kept a lump in my throat for the last hour!!
No matter which version this book is hands down one of the devastatingly best books around. Ty & Elin will leave their mark on your heart.

Emotional & heartbreaking
Where do I begin? This book took me by surprise. I was not expecting my heart to hurt so much and this book to be so emotional. I was in tears for almost half the book! It has been a while since a book has really hung me out to dry like this one has. Adriana, I’m not sure what you are trying to do to me!!
I’ve finally collected myself, now I will try and leave a review that will do this book justice!
This book is about Ty and Elin were high school sweethearts and married 7 years after high school. You’d think they would have a perfect marriage with the white picket fence and a car full of children, but they don’t.. for from it actually! Things have gotten to the point where Ty has worked out and Elin feels like her husband’s a stranger to her now. They are miserable.
After some time and talking, Ty finally comes home and is willing to put work into the marriage and do whatever it takes to make it work. He loves his wife more than anything. But is it too late? He was nowhere to be seen when Elin needed him the most and it’s not as simple as forgiving him. He may have to accept the fact he’s lost the love of his life forever.
Oh my god, this book played with my heartstrings. My heart ached so much for these two. I just wanted to climb into the book and hug them both! I haven’t read many romances where the couple are already married and having marriage problems, so this was a nice change! It hit home a lot as I struggle with infertility and I remember the heartache and the stress that comes with it.
This story and this relationship was not an easy one. Once you start this book, you will not want to put it down, and when you do, you won’t stop thinking about it until you pick it back up again. It CONSUMED me and I loved every word.
I can’t recommend this book enough!!

All the feels, and more!
I was scared of this story, cause I knew it would hurt... Badly so!
I finally put my big girl's pants on, took a deep breath and started this amazing and painful journey with Ty and Elin.
Girlllll.... Let me tell you this...
Check your mental health and grab a box of tissues, cause this book is painfully real!
When I finally thought that everything was peachy, and they would finally have their deserved HEA, Adriana brought her sledgehammer to the party, and just slaughtered my poor heart!
This book wrecked me!
I ugly cried with how close to home it hit me... Really freaking close!
This is not a meet/cute story, even if you have little bits of how they started, and how incredible their connection was since the very beginning, the book is not about that.
Ty and Elin are married since the beginning. They're each other's person and clearly soulmates, deeply in love.
But life happens, and realistically, there's not a single marriage in the world that is a fairytale all the time. Impossible!
I loved this book!
Even when I cried, even when they were falling apart with their own insecurities, and especially at how hard they fought for each other and for their marriage.
I'm Elin... Her shoes fit me perfectly and I was rooting for her until the last page!
Ty's groveling was on another level!
Chef's kiss!
I'll raise my glass to Elin, cause I would have caved way sooner. 😂
This book is about love, about the hard choices, about friendship and our chosen family, about hope, about relationships and everything that happens in life...
The good, the bad and the forever!
I highly recommend this book.
Wish I could see more of their HEA.
