Summary

So...as it turns out, I really am Lucifer's daughter. Hell's heir. And - you guessed it - the next queen of the damned. But what if I don't want to rule?

With the imp in hiding and Josh gone from this world, I still wasn't safe. Not by a long shot. Dear ol' Dad didn't just pass on his legacy and mark. He also passed on all of Hell's problems, and that means his enemies are now mine.

Fortunately for me, I have the Four Horsemen, my banshee best friend, and a pissed-off raccoon on my side. But now I have the beast with which to contend. My psychotic, possessive, and downright scary alter ego was dead set on having the Horsemen, not only at my back, but in my bed. As if learning to control the flames of Hell wasn't a hard enough job by itself.

Would it have been too hard for Lucifer to write a handbook before he died?

Contains mature themes.

I think book 1 and 2 should have been one book.

The story is ok. I will try book 3, but I'm not sold on the whole story. Maybe because I can't get involved in the romantic relationship until now? I think that they are falling flat... Let's see.

Not sure why I’m still listening to these

Some weird scenes, which are somehow acceptable? I feel like if the sex was removed from these stories they could be so much better. So she can’t control having sex with a guy but she feels guilty? Should she not be pissed off?!

I’m not sure what it is about the main plot that keeps me listening. I like the premise but feel like the beast is just a sex pest and I’m not sure why there’s not more struggle against it. The book could be so so much better than it is.

Fun read

Enjoyed this more than the first book. Ruby's powers are growing and you get a little more from the horsemen. The pace of the story increased and there is good amount of action throughout.

The narrator is so bad at accents

The narrator has a good voice for audio books but is so terrible at accents. I think she’s attempted Irish, and a very stereotypical working class English accent. It’s so bad I had to stop listening.
