Summary

Mindfulness practice can help you reduce stress, improve performance, manage pain and increase wellbeing. These are the reasons why elite athletes, performing artists and business leaders are taking up the practice, and why it is being introduced into the world's most successful companies, banks, business schools – even the US Army.

David Michie introduces mindfulness practice and offers innovative solutions to common obstacles. Drawing on ancient Buddhist teachings and contemporary science, he also takes us beyond 'mindfulness lite', offering lucid instructions on how to experience the pristine nature of one's own consciousness directly – an encounter that is truly life-changing.

concise and easy to listen to

A wonderful listen and a good introductory book to mindfulness and meditation and the difference between them. Full of scientific evidence to back up the theories and coloured by personal experience, I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone looking to develop a more satisfying and healthy inner life.

Good Listen

As an keen follower of Mindfulness and the many different ways to educate people in its wonder I found this Audio book to good up to about 2/3rds through at which point for me it lost its sparkle and became more about quotes, references and statistics

Transformative

It really moved my meditation practise forward and provided a good balance of practical and theoretical information.
