Summary
I am a survivor.
Ten years ago, my world was shattered. One night changed my life forever by a sadist who took everything from me, just because he could. And while he did this, a green-eyed stranger watched and did nothing…or so I thought.
When my past and present collide, I am swept away by all the memories, horrors, and dreams of my past.
I want revenge.
And finally, after all the years of pain and sacrifices I’ve had to make, an opportunity presents itself. Within a 24 hour period, my tormenter and my green-eyed watcher enter my life once again.
Seeing this as my chance, I begin to make use of my blue journal, detailing my plans for revenge, taking matters into my own hands. Will I have what it takes to ignore what is right and wrong? To bring myself to make the men still alive pay for what they took from me? And how do I forgive the man I hold partially responsible when he’s the one supplying me with the means to get what I want?
With only a small window of time available, I have to be ready to take back my life, consequences be damned.
Because of my anguished past, my present will always be filled with vengeance.
I am Quinn. This is my life — my story.

Interesting, fast paced story
I actually enjoyed this one a lot more than I did the first. I found this book more emotionally in depth even though the subject material itself was still tough at times. The story was well thought out and I enjoyed the pacing of the story. It was interesting to get to know the secondary characters more in this story and I also found myself warming to Quinn, the main female protagonist too. It was interesting to go along her journey with her as she figured out how to get closure for what has happened to her in the past. I actually found the love story aspect of the story more likable in this next part of the trilogy and am looking forward to the final part.

Intriguing
Vengeance Audio Book by D.M. Earls is the second book in the Journals Trilogy. This is a series that does need to be read/listened to in order as it is a continuation of the story. I was really looking forward to getting back into this story, I just had to know how it was going to turn out. I was intrigued to find out if Quinn would be able to go through with any of her ideas. I loved that we got to know all the crew a bit more, they added a little extra something to the story. At times I did find it just a little confusing when it switched POV’s suddenly however the narrator did a great job of portraying the change. I listened to this whole book in what felt like no time at all and, with the way it ended, I am very intrigued as to what is going to come next!

This is a very hard listening and so emotional. I adore Quinn she's a survivors and with the information from Stone she is seeking revenge.
Why has she got this attraction to Stone its get harder to avoid as time goes on. I can't wait to listen the last book in this trilogy.

Excellent story!!
After listening to the first book in the series I was really looking forward to settling down with Vengeance and it didn’t disappoint. Once again the narration was really easy to listen to and I was easily engaged in what I was listening to. I liked that the read time was quite short; I listened to it in 2 sittings. There were some triggers in the story that made it difficult to listen to at times especially as it’s spoken it really does feel like you are listening to someone’s real life. Quinn’s story is quite powerful to listen to and is definitely thought provoking! I admire her strength of character and I am looking forward to seeing where her story goes in the next instalment of this series!

A brilliant story and well read
This story is the continuation of the first book Anguish which I had not read but although I did get the gist of the first book to then find this book as the Vengeance and revenge that Quinn wants to inflicted as mush torture on her tormentors but will she be able unleash the violence or will she fall at the last hurdle.
Stone and his gang is fully behind Quinn and will do anything for her, with the instant attraction he has too her can he fulfil what she wants to happened or will it break them apart. Quinn tries to hide the attraction to Stone as she at times blames in him in part for that fateful day.
I loved this story and although I followed the book I think it would be better to listen to the first book to get a greater understand of the actions behind Quinn and Stone. I loved the feel of getting wrapped into the story and feel with eat word spoken you are in the story living the action and evoke real emotion with each word listened to.
I will definitely download the first book and get the next book in this instalment and see how these two broken people end up and will they have their happy ever after.
