About this listen
Paul: It feels like I’ve been drowning for five years, barely keeping my head above the water. I lost everything that mattered to me. I never expected to feel anything again, to want anything again, or anyone. Then one night I find a young man on the streets and the next thing I know I’m offering to let him stay in my spare room. I don’t do things like this, but I feel protective of him from the moment I see him. He’s acting all tough but I can tell he’s scared and searching for a place to belong. And maybe, maybe I need someone to save.
Charlie: I’ve had to do things I’m not so proud of, things that still keep me up at night. Being on the streets was my choice, and I would do it all again to get away from my abusive parents. When the sexy older man shows up and rescues me from my tormentors I am stunned. No one has ever cared for me before, saved me before. But the more time we spend together the more I realize he’s not like everyone else in my life. He isn’t cruel, or manipulative, or harsh. He isn’t using me and he doesn’t want anything but for me to be exactly who I am, to be safe and happy. Can this be real? Can he be real? And could I be falling for him? But I’m a street kid, and 27 years his junior. How could he ever want someone like me?
Until You is a steamy 27 year age gap, standalone mm romance, featuring a sassy fem boy twink, a sweetheart silver fox, close proximity, size difference, sexual awakening, hurt/comfort, foot/toe kink, panty kink, all the skirts and crop tops, and found family. It contains explicit sexual content and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18.
TW/CW: Loss of child (discussed) physical, mental, emotional parental abuse (mentioned) parental homophobia (discussed), mentions of drug use, mention of alcohol use, mention of drug overdose, mention of religious trauma, mentions of prostitution, STIs.

excellent
Reread as audiobook. Excellent narration, with great sympathy for the difficult themes.
Story - quite an emotional double hurt/comfort. On the whole, I'm not a fan of such an age gap, but it certainly worked well here. I really enjoyed Charlie becoming free enough to develop an intriguing wardrobe and the acceptance of this by everyone (why are clothes gendered?). Paul's ex-wife was an excellent character, I really liked the bond she still had with Paul and developed with Charlie. It was interesting to have the story of Trey from the point of view of parents who learnt a lot.

Beautiful story and very well done
Did you have a good time today?” He nods. “And do you like what you found?” He nods again. “Then that’s all that matters. Don’t let anyone take that away from you. Don’t let anyone tell you who to be, beautiful boy.”
‘Until you’ took me on an emotional ride when I read the book - It was such a pleasure to experience it as an audiobook too. It is a story about being true to yourself, about personal growth and daring to change your beliefs. It’s also about sorrow, kindness and love. Paul is grieving and lonely when he stops Charlie from being beaten. Charlie is a young man living on the streets after being kicked out by his homofobic parents. Paul offers Charlie a place to stay and from there grows friendship and love. I was deeply moved by Paul and Charlie’s stories - they both suffered religious trauma but in very different ways. Watching Charlie sass Paul and bring joy and happiness into his life again, while Paul brings stability and encouragement to Charlie, was magic and heartwarming. Until You is a really great book and the narration was very good

Adorable and Accepting Characters
‘we will walk it together, two imperfect, broken souls who are slowly but surely putting each other back together’
I think that was a perfect way to describe why Charlie and Paul needed to find their way to each other.
This story deals with some heavy themes but I found it was done in a ‘lighter’ (sorry that’s not the word I’m looking for) way and the impact softened by the total sweetness and the acceptance these two had for each other throughout the book.
Paul’s relationship with his ex wife is so incredibly special. Loved that.
Charlie and Paul are honestly beautiful souls who deserved to find each other.
Lots of spice and kinks.
I’ve loved some of Felicity’s other works like The Roommate Situation and Oliver and I highly recommend checking these out.
