About this listen

I'm getting a little tired of completing my goals, only to have the bar raised too substantially for me to transition at a productive pace. I started off as a sad little ghost with an impossible crush on four really hot, Gothic guys with some attitude problems. Now I'm the Apocalypse, they're the Four Horsemen, and Lucifer is my f--ked-up daddy. Now my additional goals look like this.

Goal #9: Make a deal with the Devil without getting cheated, manipulated, or tricked.

Goal #10: Make my boys love me and take over the world...okay...so maybe just that first part. That second part sounds like it could take too much ambition, and I just don't have the drive for that.

Goal #11: Make cookies.

Goal #12: Call dibs on my favorite color.

Goal #13: Find out if my siblings or my father killed me and my boys...

Contains mature themes.

Brilliant story, told beautifully.

Honestly it just gets better and better. apocalypse and her horsemen are battling everything thrown at them topside, hellside and in purgatory. narrated ever so fantastically, it just makes you laugh out loud at authors words and dramatisation by the narrator.

another great read

another great book. I just took a few points off for the bonus audio. suppose to in a male voice, one point its like the narrator forgets and reverts back to female voice and I get confused as I'm thrown out the world I'm listening.
But that's one teeny thing.
The story is just so well built I am feeling all the emotions the author wants to convey. I laugh so hard I had to sit down at one point...let's just say it involves Jude and tight pants 🤣
The steamy bits are woohoooo wooza. The painful bits have my heart in my throat.
I did get lost in some places, and that's all towards the end of the story when finally answers are being given....I mean damnnnn! then again the characters are confused themselves so maybe this is just clever writing so you feel more for their frustration and anger when it happens....now I write this, yup it did help me understand their actions at those points.

Perfection

When I’m feeling down I turn to this series it never fails to make me laugh and even though this is the 14th time I’ve listened I always find something I’ve missed .

Lost the Plot

I'm not sure about Book 3 - even Poca keeps saying how anticlimactic each new revelation is.

The dynamic between Poca and the Four Horsemen has lost it's spark. The addition of new characters hasn't added any value to the story. Existing characters have become stagnant, in purpose and in dialogue.

The plot just seemed to be wavering throughout Book 3. I'll read Book 4 just because Book 1 & 2 were so enjoyable, hopefully the story finds it's feet, and the dialogue is taken off the Rinse and Repeat setting.

Hardest book of the series to get trough

Did not like this book much and contemplated quitting the series a few times, but battled trough it. Fortunately it gets a lot better in book 4 again.
