Summary
On the day she and her mother escaped her cruel father, Emma Washington vowed to never fall in love.
Now, Emma is a back-to-school PhD student with bigger and better things to worry about. That is, until one night, exhausted, slightly tipsy, and on her way home from a party, the glaring white light of a car comes crashing toward her, changing her life forever. Instead of waking up in a 21st-century hospital, she finds herself waking up in the backwaters of London, Victorian England, 1881....
Trapped in a time where everything she once knew is considered witchcraft, Emma discovers that Victorian London is a harsh world for a woman without wealth or status. She faces yet another life-changing twist when she learns her only chance of survival depends on the very thing she has tried to avoid her whole life - marriage. As if that isn’t bad enough, she must betroth herself to none other than the most powerful duke in all of England, the notorious and feared Lord William Blackwell.
But...what begins as a fight for her life might just become a chance to find true love.
Trapped in Time is the first book in the Time Travel Romance series and can be listened to as a stand-alone novel. It follows Isabella, a Victorian lady from one of England's finest houses, who finds herself waking up in the streets of Philly in the 21st century. How is all of this connected? We shall see....

Loved it
Loved every second of it. It was a really nice love story. With just one steamy love scene. I wish there was a series of them. The narrator was quite good. If you like time travel romances then I definitely recommend it.

worst English accents ever!
Very disappointed. Weak characters. poorly researched history by the author, eg: duelling was illegal in England from 1819 apart from the military which was later banned in 1847. A handbag was referred to as a reticle. the term handbag was not used until the early 1900's and this was for men's luggage! The hardest part to get past was the appalling narration. I had to speed it up to 1.35 to make it slightly bearable. Of all the talented narrators out there, why use one that can not only not differentiate local English dialects, but the difference between upper and lower class accents. A truly terrible book that I laughed loudly through even though it wasn't a comedy. Come back Dick Van Dike, all is forgiven!!!!
