Summary
She needs to return to her time, but a medieval Highlander holds her heart captive.
While chaperoning a high school trip to the Scottish Highlands, Amy MacDougall descends into Inverlochy Castle dungeon. Deep in the crumbling ruins, she touches a magical rock and travels through time to 1307.
Infiltrating the castle, Highlander Craig Cambel imprisons Amy. A MacDougall, she’s his clan’s sworn enemy. But when he’s forced to marry the fierce beauty, he surrenders to desire. Amy needs to return to the 21st century, but her feelings for Craig are growing stronger every day. Will the pull of centuries divide them, or can destiny bind them across the ages?
Read by the award-winning narrator, Audie finalist, and Earphones for excellence in narration winner, Shane East and Emma Wilder, a classically trained actor and narrator who has worked all over the world on everything from steamy romance novels to Shakespeare.

loved the story
Loved every second of the story, but can't say the same about the female narrator, her voice was, at times breathy, and at times whiny. But
having said that I liked her voice for Craig. So her voice was a bit distracting for the first half of the book so I couldn't really get into it to begin with. Also when there are duel narrators I don't like it if they don't read the dialogue according to the gender. They started like that in the beginning but they didn't continue that way. As for the Male narrator I like Shane East and I think I would have preferred it if it was just him narrating alone, apart from the fact that he didn't have a Scottish accent at all, but I liked him anyway.
Another thing I didn't like was the mispronunciations of some Scottish words. And that they called Craig 'Lord' instead of Laird. if he's a Scottish Lord he should be called Laird not Lord. So that for me was s bit annoying. But I will still be listening to the rest of the series.

Very enjoyable listen
It has been my first title of Mariah Stone and I am starting a 2nd book right away. I liked the plot, not over compliasted and with interesting twists. I have absolutely loved the narration of Shane East! What a treat! He made the whole listening experience a milion times better. The narration of Emma was a very good performance too but unfortunately I am not the biggest fan of an American accent.
