Summary

Indira Varma reads this thrilling Torchwood adventure - a prequel to Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Cardiff Bay. The government has ordered the excavation of the wreckage of a secret underground base. DCI Tom Cutler is watching from a distance, fascinated by the process. There are people in his dreams. People he feels he should know.

The disbanded Torchwood Institute spent a century accumulating non-terrestrial artefacts and catching aliens. Who knows what - or who - might still be intact down there. But by the time they find the first body, Suzie Costello is long gone.

Based on the hit series created by Russell T. Davies, Long Time Dead is a prequel to Torchwood: Miracle Day, starring John Barrowman and Eve Myles as Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper. It features Suzie Costello, as played by Indira Varma.

Great!

I loved it, it's a great Torchwood story and is interesting to see more of Suzie and what happened to the Hub. The most memorable moment for me is the ending and Indira Varma is a great narrator. I would recommend to all Torchwood fans

Torchwood Long Time Dead...

...should have been renamed Life's Too Short. First time I have never struggled with a Torchwood story before, please do not resurrect Suzie ever again if this is going to be the result. I felt like this book was not written by someone who had not thoroughly researched Suzie - she's just a wronged little girl who needs the love of a good man, NO! This is TORCHWOOD not Mills and Boon.

A shame

I love torchwood and all the other books but this one is just boring... it doesn't stick to the set timeline and just wasn't gripping... it's a shame! I was excited to see the return of Susie Costello but the way the book was Abridged doesn't make the story flow, it just throws the character back in to life after the hub explosion during Children of Earth. Really sad that it didn't live up to what I was hoping for
