About this listen
A smart and sexy romance about a grumpy single dad on a mission of revenge and the girl he can’t leave behind by USA Today best-selling author Tia Louise.
Hope
I blame the alcohol. I lost my restaurant business, was forced to sell my dad’s cherished 1967 Chevy Impala, and I got a little drunk. Now I’m waking up with the hottest, angriest guy I’ve ever seen, speeding down the highway like a bat out of hell. Ice-blue eyes hit mine with stomach-clenching force.... And he swerves onto the shoulder, ready to kick me out. Needless to say, our romance doesn’t start out sweet.
J.R.
Two years ago, I hugged my little boy good-bye and told him I’d be right back. Next thing I knew, I was arrested and sent to prison for a crime I didn’t commit. Until they let me out early.... Now I’m headed home to confront the man who put me away. A lie put me behind bars, and I’m ready to find the truth. I don’t have time for a sexy girl with pale blonde hair and bright blue eyes stowed away on the backseat of my new car. My mission is to get my son back and clear my name. Love is not on the agenda. It never is, though, is it?
This Much Is True is a single-dad opposites-attract stand-alone romance. No cheating. No cliff-hangers.

Riveting love story
I really enjoyed this story because it drew me in from the start and despite the injustice JR has suffered his main focus is the welfare of Jesse his little boy. But then JR's heart begins to melt with the sudden appearance of a young woman named Hope
The narrator did a fabulous job of bringing all the characters to life and I highly recommend this story. Can't wait to listen to Scott's story. ❤❤❤❤

Great Story & Characters!
I loved this story! This is a standalone however I can’t wait for the next book “Trouble” to find out about Scout because I love these characters so much. My heart went out for Hope, J.R., and Scout. I didn’t want to stop listening, I was hooked from the start. There was drama but not much between the main characters. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book.

J.K. and Hope!
Just when Hope was on the cusp of achieving her dream it all came crashing down and she is left floundering both personally and professionally. Her decision to sell the car that held so many special memories for her and her father was difficult, but she was running out of options. After a few drinks too many she decides to take a nap in the back seat and the next thing she thing she knows she finds herself on a road trip with J.R. and his brother.
After being wrongfully convicted JR has been released from prison and all he wants is to be able to see the son he adores and uncover the truth of why his life took such a drastic turn and to right the wrongs of the past. The last thing he wants is being saddled with an extra passenger, but it might just be the best thing that could have ever happened to him.
Hope and JR couldn’t be more different as he is a pessimist while she is an optimist, and he is grumpy while she is cheerful. She makes him wish that things were different and although they had their challenges they weren’t about to stop fighting for their love and the life they are destined to have together. The performance of the narrators has you empathizing with the characters and invested in the outcome.

What a story!
The broody, growlie JR, falsely imprisoned and ripped away from his son is on a mission. Buying a car is just the start. When he finds the previous owner, Hope in the back seat, drunk with no shoes, he has not choice but to take her with him, right? And our story begins. Tia Louise masterfully crafts a story, in our current pandemic with masks and all! I love it! JR is the epitome of all grumpy, misunderstood men but what is underneath the scowl is worth looking at. Hope is the eternal optimist, and even though she is down on her luck, she refuses to let go of her dreams. Their chemistry is unmistakable, but can these two act on it? JR has baggage, a lot of it, and he is holding back. Hope is the opposite, so where there is a will, Hope will find a way. Add in the quirky, good looking brother Scout, who had me laughing so many times, and this story is gold. It's an easy listen with relevant issues and will make your ears happy. I can't wait to hear Scout's story!
Narrated by the incredible team of Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor is just that something extra we all love to get. Clarke is such a talent, able to come across as that broody man in one breath and the crafty, quick witted brother in the next. Brentmoor adds to the fun with her amazing take on Hope. She fills her with optimism and love. I enjoy this team whenever they narrate together and this was pure enjoyment.

Hope for redemption
I am usually a slow listener but I got through this audiobook in a couple of sittings. Tia Louise has written a story about family, love, and redemption. JR has been imprisoned unjustly; when he gets out on parole, he is desperate to see his son Jessie and clear his name. He asks his brother Scout to help with the driving & ends up taking Hope and her vehicle, Metallicar. The three have a bit of a road trip & we get to learn about the characters, what has happened, and the mission they're now on. Jason Clarke is one of my favourite narrators, and he was bang on for this story. Samantha Broadmoor did a great job of bringing Hope to life. Loved it!
I received a copy of this audiobook. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.
