Summary

Dante and Blays have forced Gladdic from the Collen Basin. But the victory might be only the first battle in a much larger war. With the land on the brink of starvation and politically fractured, Dante and Blays scramble to secure Collen's food, borders, and allies. Before their work is done, rumor arrives from Mallon. The enemy is mustering for another attack.

Even if Collen can weather the coming storm, there's no guarantee their independence will last out the year. During a border raid, Dante learns Gladdic has fled to the shadowy realm of Tanar Atain, home of the Andrac.

And the secrets Gladdic returns with could tip the balance of power forever.

The Witty dialog never stops flowing !

As with all the other books before it the performance is brilliantly done and the banter of Blaze and Dante always brings as smile to you face along with all the other characters. The story keeps driving through, If you enjoyed the others you'll enjoy this

fallen in love with these books

these books are fantastic for escaping with. I live every adventure with the characters. The book is masterfully narrated by my favourite ( Tim Gerald Reynolds )

Can't wait to see where the story goes from here. A whole loads of plot twists which I didn't see coming.

It is just so frustratingly addictive.

I get to a point where I want to press stop and just give up, because it is SO formulaic, but then something happens and I just HAVE to know how it is going to end. I am now forced to finish the series even though I know that Dante will find a puzzle he will have to solve, he will get embroiled in someone else's problem and Blaze will make him solve it. They will solve the puzzle and in the process find and answer to their own problem.

It is still worth a listen as the performance is great and so is the story.

Ending stopped 5 stars

A solid edition to the other's however I would of given it 5 stars if it was not what felt like a rushed ending
