Same as all other business books
This book has simply copied all the other business books. Boring rubbish with 'this is what I did' narrative. Nothing new, intelligent or rebellious. Much better business books out there.

A book of (nearly) two halves
For me, this felt like two books stitched together. Part 1 (approx. 5 hours of the 15 hour run time) was somewhat interesting, and discussed why "intelligent rebels" might feel uncomfortable or unfulfilled in traditional educational or works settings. However, Part 2 (the remaining 10 hours) was like a generic business or marketing book that seemed to completely abandon the overall theme of the title.
I don't recall even hearing the term "intelligent rebel" mentioned much in the latter chapters of the book, which added to the feeling that they were tacked on as padding. Even the content of Part 2 jumped from subject to subject as it quoted other people's books and regurgitated decades old marketing tactics such as Squeeze Pages and Pay-Per-Click Ads. I'm not saying that these things might not be useful to somebody new to marketing, but they're 20 years old and over-saturated, so hardly innovative or "outside the system".
Some of the other "tactics" suggested seemed downright dubious. For example, selling pre-orders for a book that you've only written a contents page for. If you sell enough pre-orders then you write the book. If you don't sell enough pre-orders then you just abandon the whole idea and refund the pre-order money. I know this is basically how crowd-funding works, but crowd-funding sites only take the money if the (publicly displayed) project funding target is met. They don't take the money and sit on it until the author decides if it's worth their time to bother writing the book. This sounds a bit like one of those internet marketing tactics from 10 years ago that will get you a bad reputation pretty quickly.
In summary then, the first half is somewhat interesting, the second half feels like a collection of unrelated essays or blog posts repeating what others have already said over the past 20 years (Tim Ferris, Robert B. Cialdini etc.).
