Unique and cleverly weaved story

This is a very well structured book. Very easy to listen , to the narratorsare excellent.

If you like books with twists and turns this a great example of a psychological thriller.

The only downside is I felt some characters could’ve been explored in a bit more detail, especially the ones in the Villa. Otherwise are very good book.

Really enjoyed the story and do think I'll look at reality TV a little differently now as quite an eye opener!

Behavioural Chaos!

This was a dystopian reality programme only for viewing on the internet. It was scary to observe the behaviours of the contestants as the stakes were raised, and likewise the audience's reactions. Very clever.

A stark warning about the future

This book is a perfect example of how reality TV and social media enables the worst to shine through and how minds can be very easily manipulated by what you see on screen. A great book and well narrated

Had it's moments

I enjoyed most of this book. The performance was spot on. But I struggled to like the main character. She was top weak and needy.

Addictive

Summer 2024 seems to be the season of thrillers based on reality tv show. The book grabbed my attention from the start when a reporter goes undercover on a Love Island style reality tv show. It soon becomes apparent that each contestant is hiding their own secrets and soon thing turn very dark and dangerous. The chapters were short, and I kept thinking just one more until I realised it was 2am!! The characters are quite unlikeable. The story is full of twists and listening felt very voyeuristic. I loved that we got the POV of the reporter, the producer and the audience. All in all an addictive psychological thriller.

The book was brilliantly narrated by Clare Corbett, Evie Hargreaves and Laura Aikman but when there are multiple narrators I really wish that Audible or the audiobook producer would tell the listeners who is narrating which parts!

Thought provoking

Clever and thought provoking. I enjoyed listening to this book - excellently narrated.
Cleverly looked at how social media is controlling how we think. A little scary actually because you can see how this could actually happen……..
