Summary

Howie’s group disembark from the Isle of Wight, but when the ferry they take breaks down they climb aboard a Royal Navy supply vessel at anchor outside Portsmouth Harbour to find a huge horde of undead. We meet Maddox and a group of council estate children who have survived the apocalypse by taking refuge in a cannabis plantation.

When a horde of undead attack the children, Howie tries to save them only to find they turn on him. Eventually a truce is called, and an uneasy alliance begins to develop.

better than reading it!

These books are so good, I read the first lot, but reading takes up so much time and I haven,t got time to read as I work so much. I am an artist and I play my books in my studio and paint at the same time, so I am working doing what I love and listening to a great story! I love my job! :) These books are so good I am now on 9 and need to get back to it!

Excellent Charaters

It is a predictable zombie trope but bloody well done with characters you root for and want more of - which you get. Great stuff!!

Not so patiently waiting for the next books

If you could sum up The Undead: Part 5 in three words, what would they be?

Simply, the, best

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Undead: Part 5?

Its humour and heart throughout, and Cookey as always i bloody love you!

What does Dan Morgan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Dan Morgan has comfortably assimilated into Mr Howie. Bringing a beloved character to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, like all in this series.

Any additional comments?

Being a fan of most things Zombie and reading loads of authors in the genre, Its my opinion that there is no one better than Mr Haywood at his craft. We care deeply about the characters he has created. I cant envisage ever becoming bored with this series.

Another brilliant story from Mr Haywood.

I have already read all of the undead books,so going for audible the second time around,I just love the way the reader uses voices for the characters,it is so convincing,I can see all of them in my minds eye, well done.

You need this book in your life!

If you could sum up The Undead: Part 5 in three words, what would they be?

Amazing, engrossing and unputdownable (a new word I invented just for this review)

What did you like best about this story?

How well written it is.

What about Dan Morgan’s performance did you like?

He takes you from your lounge or wherever you are listening from right into the story, you are one of the guys, you are in danger of getting munched by a zombie and the characters are you best mates saving your bum!

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The best zombie film in the WORLD

Any additional comments?

This is one of those books where the writing and narrating are just ment to be together. I wouldn't Change anything it just all goes together like it should.
