Beautiful story& narration
I enjoyed getting to know interesting old and new characters, (King Eddie, Queen Alexandra, James), twists in the storyline were AWESOME,especially in the end+ great narrators!!

Another stunning book by Jensen
I utterly adored this book! The pace was perfect and the descriptions enchanting. I was sucked immediately into the story & the performances did wonderful justice to Danielle l Jensens stunning writing

I love this series but….
Ahnna is an idiot and I hate it when MFC are idiots. From the previous books Ahnna seemed strong, smart and capable. In this book she’s as far from all those things as you could probably be. I will wait for the next book and hope she finally gets some smarts but, I won’t hold my breath. I saw the twists coming and I’m slightly disappointed at this book in my favourite series and I hope it improves before the end of this series.

Fantastic
I read the first four books in this series but as this book hasn’t been published yet, I thought I would listen to this one and I’m so glad I did! I don’t know if it’s a better story than the first four or just really lends itself to an audiobook format but I couldn’t stop listening to this. The voice actors really brought it to life. Can’t wait for the next one!

Wow I think maybe my favourite in the series so far!!
Great performance and plot, gripped so much and loved the depth and detail as always. So well written! Can’t wait to see how it will turn out.

Always good story & narration by this author
Another good book but sad that got to wait another long while for the next book as they always seems to be 2 books per character story so roll on the next book to find out what happens next !!

well worth the wait ...
I honestly wasn't expecting it to go the way I thought... I thought it would be about Ahana and her betrothed from Harrendell but NOO! It's about her and the brother!!!
I loved their chemistry and their banter, as well ad their "distribution " for each other.🤭
They are each other's equal, both badass and loyal to their countries to a fault. How she didn't back down from his attitude and demands.

King Eddie ...I am shook ! I am unsure about his character but how he thought 5 steps ahead was cleverly written.
Not much in terms of spice but I'm fine with that, I feel like it would have taken away from the plot.
I NEED BOOK 2 AFTER THAT CLIFFHANGER !
I do feel like this had the same vibe at TBK with the betrayal.
