About this listen

Alexander the Great's sudden and unexpected death has left the largest, most formidable empire the world has ever seen leaderless.

As the fight to take control descends into ruthless scheming and bloody battles, no one is safe. As wars on land and sea are lost and won, and promises are made only to be broken, long-buried secrets come to light in the quest for the true circumstances surrounding Alexander's death.

Was he murdered? Could he have been sowing the seeds of discord deliberately, through his refusal to name an heir? And who will eventually ascend to power at the helm of the empire - if it manages to survive that long? Can one champion vanquish all?

Absolute power corrupts absolutely

Another astonishing rendition of ancient history. I was fascinated to listen as often as possible until the narrative concluded.
More, please. Historical representation of this quality is addictive.

Need some info spread? I knew a guy

Alexander's Legacy: The Three Paradises by @RobertEFabbri, an @Isisaudio production. In this sequel, this book follows the power-hungry generals of Alexander the Great after his death, and the war waged against the remaining players in this all out brawl for power 🦹🦹‍♂️🦹‍♀️🦹🦸🦸‍♂️

Unlike the first novel, the plot was much clearer as were the distinction of characters. This is in part helped by a reduction of characters through their untimely deaths. One such character was Antipatros, a favourite of mine who bought and sold information to the finest detail.

As an 🎧 audiobook, @PeterKennyVoice was second to none as he helped navigate the reader through a complex web of characters and their schemes. I also loved his voice of Antipatros in a familiar guise of Dijkstra the spymaster in @witchernetflix, who bought and sold secrets too.

As I mentioned, a lot of people die in this historical fiction, including Antipatros 👑 as well as 'the idiot king' Philip III Arrhidaeus and his wife. The impact is that this reduces the line to the throne and the inevitable fragmentation of the empire Alexander the Great built.

Granted, this is an epic, however the writing still confuses the hell out of me. With that said, it is getting clearer as more people die ☠️. Let the Hunger Games begin. I would recommend this to a colleague, a friend or a group of interracial gang bangers. 📚 5/5 ⭐️ #bookreview
