About this listen

While trying to balance her family bakery, losing her mother, and learning a few secrets is a lot for anyone, Amara was walking with the weight of the world on her shoulders. Trying to gain control of her life again seemed impossible, but falling in love with her best friend might be what the doctor ordered.

Knowing what it's like to lose his parents and feel lost, Khalil promises Amara to stay by her side and help her through the pain. What he wasn't expecting was his feelings for her to grow stronger as well as their bond!

They say once one door closes, another opens, and Amara and Khalil are about to find out just how right that is.

Really sweet story

I love a cute story, it really lives up to the title and allows you to root for their love story.

cute

It was ok. It's a very sweet and very slowburn with these 2 childhood friends finally coming together. They both are dealing with grief and the entire story revolves around that and how from that they decide to act on their feeling.
The story is good but I felt bored.
The narration was excellent, Leon Nixon and Wesleigh Siobhan did an amazing job here and they interpretation of the characters made me like the story a little more.

Just ok

A sweet story but it reminded me of a Christmas hallmark movie, boring and predictable. The characters had no personality, Wesleigh brought a little something to it but Leon brought it back down when he started narrating. There was a lot of repetition and then random pieces of story that went nowhere. I started feeling like it was dragging and just wanted to get it finished
