Summary
The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Clive Cussler and Jack du Brul's The Silent Sea, the seventh instalment in the stunning Oregon Files novels, read by the award-winning narrator Scott Brick.
On 7 December, 1941, four brothers exploring a pit on a small island off the coast of Washington state make an extraordinary discovery, only to be interrupted by news of Pearl Harbor. In the present, Juan Cabrillo, Captain of US spy-ship Oregon, chasing the remnants of a crashed satellite in the Argentine jungle, makes a shocking discovery of his own. His search to untangle the mystery leads him, first, to that small island and its secret, and then much farther back, to an ancient Chinese expedition, and a curse that seems to have survived for over 500 years. If Cabrillo's team is successful in its quest, the reward could be incalculable. If not...the only reward is death.

The Brst Storytellers!
In my opinion, the previous novel was the best Oregon Tale in the series! But the concluding chapters of this, is just lovely!
I got bogged down with the technical aspects and details of this one, but it still couldn’t take away from the overall wonder of these gentlemen’s genius for telling a great tale!

Loved It
Superb.....and the twist at the end was totally unexpected. Clive Cusslers stories always entertain and interest. Scot Brick's reading is as usual impeccable.

Usual brilliant cussler
Would you listen to The Silent Sea again? Why?
This is an excellent tale of derring do by the oregan team and I will listen again when I get the ones I am missing to hear them in order
Who was your favorite character and why?
The whole team just goes together well
Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances? How does this one compare?
I hear Scott Brick so often he's almost one of the family
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No because I just don't have over 12 spare hours in any week let alone day
Any additional comments?
Cussler has found a team possibly even better than NUMA here, thet are believable characters who gel well with overlapping roles and a life of luxury that many people would wish for themselves

Another Gripping Tale!
I have so much respect for this author! Wonderful storylines twists and turns in the plot brilliant characterisations and humour. Scott Brick, once again has brought the characters and story to life in his usual brilliant way. I cant bear to listen to any other narrator for both the Dirk Pitt and Oregon series. He gets 5 gold stars and I don't bother to read (listen) to any other in the series that have not been narrated by him.
