About this listen

My colleague Elodie thinks I despise her. In fact, she’s owned my heart since the first time I caught sight of her slim white neck.

Monday to Friday, I’m the grumpy Head of History. Zero personality, except when I’m teaching. So passionate about my field that my pupils bought me a highly inappropriate t-shirt last year. I HAVE A HARD-ON FOR REVISIONIST HISTORY, if you must know.

It’s only on Saturdays, when I play Henry VIII at Hampton Court Palace for over-exuberant tourists, that I channel His Majesty’s swagger. Think with my codpiece, if you like. At school, I stay the hell away from Elodie. Because nothing good can come from my obsession.

But when I make her my Anne Boleyn at the weekend, I can’t control the things going on under that codpiece. Or the filth that comes out of my mouth.

Monday to Friday, she’s my colleague. On Saturday, she’s my queen.

[This book contains themes and discussion of infertility]

The Rest is History is a steamy, opposites attract, workplace romance with plenty of historical spice.

An excellent romp!

Loved this book. Brilliant performances by both narrators. The historical elements weaved beautifully through the story of a raw and passionate romance. The author is exceptionally sharp and witty. 👏👏

EXCEPTIONAL, DOWNLOAD IT NOW!!!

I saw this audiobook recommended via social media, although at first, the cover didn't scream download me!!!!!!! The narrators did make me read the blurb. Shane East needs no introduction, the man is a god in the narration world, and I would download just with his name attached. However another favourite, but one I don't see too often, is Zara Hampton-Brown, I've listened to a few of her audiobooks, her voice is quirky, funny and very girl next door, I think she is amazing and am always on the look out for more by Zara, but together, these two make narration magic
Sara Madderson, is a new Author to me, but this story is so different to my usual small American town kind of romance.

The Story follows two history teachers, who work at a very posh English Country School. While they don't have much interaction in the beginning Monday to Friday, at the weekend they dress up and play Henry the 8th and Anne Boleyn for tourists at Hampton Court Palace. This story is hot and so laugh out loud funny, I urge anyone to download it immediately, you won't regret it, its so refreshingly different, and just what I was looking for to get me out of a audiobook slump.

I'm watching out for more from Sara Madderson, well worth the credit

Absolutely fabulous!

This is my first Sara Madderson book. I first fell in love with her writing as her alter ego Elodie Hart.
This woman can write the best spice and the most luscious story lines.
This has all the prefect ingredients for a unforgettable romance 5* 🌶🌶🌶.5
