About Coach Mike Chadwick

Former paratrooper Coach Mike Chadwick revolutionised the British Armed Forces’ century-old approach to physical development delivering unprecedented pass rates for the Parachute Regiment’s Pegasus-Company selection course. He has been awarded multiple times in his career including the Bredin Trophy (soldier who most enhances British Army in physical development) and a GOC commendation announced alongside the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. The audio book you didn’t know you needed!

I am a keen listener of mindset development themed audio books and the market is littered with so much of this content! I feel The Red On Revolution is the perfect companion to this genre as it gives you a fresh perspective from a physical stand point.

If you are remotely interested in physical development, this audio book is for you. If you want to become a better person and live a more fulfilling life, this audio book is for you!

The audio book takes you on an educational journey of physical development, performance and the desire to win! It is delivered brilliantly, Mike has an ability to combine lived experience and science in a way that anyone can relate. The subjects he covers are always underpinned by principals and facts, but explained with scenarios, analogy’s, problems and solutions, which keeps the listener engaged! This provides a deeper level of understanding and appreciation of training the right way for you, as an INDIVIDUAL!

I love the interludes with special guest discussion, which turn the audio book into a podcast hybrid! This helps rubber stamp everything Mike discusses and provides further insight into the realms of elite athletes, practitioners and entrepreneurs.

The tactical takeaways are the perfect end to each chapter! It removes the guess work and gives the listener the ability to actually apply what they have learned. I genuinely believe that anyone can benefit from this audio book no matter what their training experience is!

As a serving soldier of 17 years, I have seen the fruits of Mike’s labour first hand! He completely transformed and revolutionised the way in which we train as a force! We train smarter, harder with clearer objectives and aims whilst embodying the tactical athlete mindset!

Excellent

Great book for all PTs and athletes. For the PTs, Mike sets the standard in how you should test and programme your athletes.
For athletes, Mike provides the level of detail you should be obtaining from your coaches on a daily basis to ensure you reach your goal.
As a former Royal Marine with 31 years of service I cannot reccomended this highly enough for all aspiring tactical athletes who aspire to to join Commando or Airborne Forces. Cheers Mike cracking audio.

They say proper planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance.

Mike takes you all the way through determining what you want(what you really really want - and what you will give up to get) to developing a process (a series of good habits) to give you the best chance of getting what you want.

Love the open straightforward delivery and you can hear the strength and determination in his voice.

Yes the green light on says go, but the red on tells you to begin the preparation processes.

Coach Mike nails it with this excellent book

Ive followed Mike for many years on social media and he never really shares much about his personal life, so hearing his personal story at the end of each chapter and how it relates to what he is saying previous is a great insight into the secret coach. Each chapter is broken up into a problem, a solution, a second opinion from incredible guests and mikes own story on how he came to that conclusion. It's brilliantly wrote and even though I am a tactical athlete just yet, this has changed my approach on training and being the best version of me. As Mike says, if you want to develop, then you are an athlete. From now on, thats who I will be... The secret athlete.
This seriously needs to be on paperback asap. Great job, 5 stars.

Spectacular, truly one of a kind!

Over the years, I have listened and read a few books and biographies of military personnel and coaches and the stories they have to tell.

This, however, is something else entirely.
Gripping, factual, inspiring, and to the point. Their is no beating around the bush with the years of knowledge and experience that has been put into this. Nothing comes close to the level of excellence Mike and his team strive for, and that is evident in every page written in this book.

Not only is it factual and inspiring, but it will challenge you in ways you may or may not have subconsciously been thinking about for some time, giving you a sense of purpose as well as self-reflection of your actions and current circumstances, promting you to change habits and your lifestyle for the better.

Easy listening and most definitely a must read/listen.

A very enjoyable and informative listen: 5*

This audio book is acoustic gold and a must listen for anyone wanting to improve their fitness through greater understanding of their body and its response to training stimuli.

Each chapter introduces a training concept that is then further explored and backed up by empirical study data. A line-up of exceptional guest speakers then give their first-hand experience and insight into the application of such fundamental constructs in physical development.

I would not be surprised if this audio book became a core text (or listen) for students enrolled on physical development courses offered by universities and colleges.

Standby by!!

A very well thought out audiobook, Coach Chadwick brings evidence based theory and practice to the listener. He’s been there and got the PTI T shirt 😃

Some very controversial opinions but backs it up with data & research which not many can do these days.

Certainly recommend for anyone interested improving their performance, mentally and physically.

Personably I would prefer a hard copy.
