The most important book in my life

I have a two year old, she won't sleep with out this. Every night I can hear it faintly drifting thought the monitor when she can sleep, or has a bad dream she’ll curl up in my arms and drift off listening to this.

Lucky it's a fairly decent, not the most gripping of storys but much better than pepper pig.

Too wit to what

The main story was reasonable. Unfortunately there were several chapters with nothing in them just a waste of space and time.

Not as long as the others

We have enjoyed so many of Jill Tomlinsons books on long car journeys so we're looking forward to this one.
It is a short book and is well padded out with songs and acting segments, so not like the others which are long stories.
It might be the sort of thing you would listen to in a kids drama class.

Still good though, well read, and the story is good. But short.

Be aware that you are buying something a bit different and you will not be disappointed.

This is an abridged version

Have you listened to any of Bill Oddie’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Bill Oddie does a good job, but I grew up with the Maureen Lipman version and that's untouchable for me.

Any additional comments?

This is not unabridged, as advertised. It is heavily edited and misses all of the books wonderful humour.

Disappointing

This is heavily abridged. Maureen Lipman has done a much better, full length version but unfortunately it’s not available on Audible.
