About this listen

The swamp is about to get a whole lot hotter.

After a tragedy, Finn Hollis escapes into the swamp to be alone. That is until Sawyer Dixon shows up, all scorching hot innocence, claiming she owns the land less than 50 feet from his front door. Sawyer gets under his skin, but, even worse - she makes him crave things. Things Finn hasn't thought about in a very, very long time. Finn wants Sawyer gone. Almost as much as he wants her in his bed.

Originally slated to be a stand-alone, The Outskirts is now book one of a duet. The Outliers is the title of book two.

Brilliant T M Frazier! Can't wait for next instalment!!

Totally addictive reading. You know from the off that this is only part of the story so when you reach the end you don't feel cheated like when some authors break up one story, with abrupt and incomplete ends, just to make multiple books off the one book.

From the off I was intrigued, wasn't sure at first but once you get deeper in it's completely enthralling. The ending of this part is brilliant and dramatic. Really great cliff hanging end. Would highly recommend. Can't wait for next book to find out what happens next.

Grit and unpredictability with a major plot twist!

Finn is living as a recluse in the swamp but Sawyer comes barreling into his life as she escapes her past. She claims to own the land just outside his front door and he is desperate to get rid of her but ends up wanting her in his bed instead.

Book one sets the scene, giving us all the world building needed. We meet the main characters and feel the conflict that Finn is dealing with, he wants Sawyer gone but also wants her close. He wants to look after her, but is afraid to and doesn’t feel he deserves to be happy or find love. This book is filled with emotions and obstacles that Finn and Sawyer need to overcome. There are so many secrets and it ends with the mutha of all plot twists.

The narrator pairing was amazing. Lance has narrated some of T’s King Series and he gives us all the colours and complexities of Finn. He is tortured, he is secretive, he is grief stricken, he is hiding but he is also tender and a fierce protector and feels this undeniable pull to Sawyer; and we feel it all through Lance’s narration. This is the first time I’ve listened to June and I really enjoyed her performance. She embodied Sawyer’s innocence and naivety with ease. The narration is easy and we see the world through pure, unsullied Sawyer’s eyes. Another original, raw and compelling story you won’t want to put down.
