Summary
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Jane Hawk’s one-woman war comes to an explosive climax as the rogue FBI agent gambles everything against a terrifying conspiracy, for vengeance, for justice, and for humanity’s freedom - from the author of The Silent Corner.
“Jane Hawk is arguably the best character Koontz has created.... Simply put, wow.” - Associated Press
A visionary young filmmaker hunted for sport across a vast Colorado ranch by the celebrated billionaire at the heart of a monstrous cabal....
A brilliant computer hacker slipping through top-secret databases a whisper ahead of security trackers, gathering the facts to fight the all-powerful perpetrators of mass murder....
A pair of brutal operators, methodically shadowing their targets with every cutting-edge tool in the arsenal of today’s surveillance state....
A sequence of quiet heroes - everyday citizens - stepping up, stepping forward, intent on countering the advancing darkness....
A Vegas mob boss teamed with a homicidal sociopath, circling a beloved boy and his protectors, aiming to secure him as leverage against his fugitive mother...
And that fugitive mother herself, ex-agent Jane Hawk, closing in on the malevolent architects of ruin she has stalked as they stalk her, prepared to sacrifice herself to finally bring them down.
These are the people and circumstances of The Night Window, the thrilling novel in Dean Koontz’s acclaimed Jane Hawk series. Replete - and then some - with the ingenious twists, the spellbinding action, the resonant themes, the sheer heart that have characterized Jane’s journey from the start, The Night Window follows its extraordinary heroine to her long-sought objective, in a stunning, unforgettable finale.
Don’t miss any of Dean Koontz’s gripping Jane Hawk thrillers:
- THE SILENT CORNER
- THE WHISPERING ROOM
- THE CROOKED STAIRCASE
- THE FORBIDDEN DOOR
- THE NIGHT WINDOW
“The spectacular finale to Jane’s story...will hit series fans with all the impact of a carefully calibrated hammer blow.” - Booklist (starred review)
“The best installment in the series since the first.... [Koontz] revs it up with entertaining encounters and offbeat humor.” - Kirkus Reviews

Excellent as usual from Kooning
Just finished the night window, the last in the Jane Hawk series.
Every one was excellent and the narration was very good.
Just about to start the Frankenstein books, hope there just as good

Oh no . . . the end!
First the bad news: this is the last Jane Hawke novel that features her battle with the evil techno-arcadians - although we can only hope she returns in other roles. It was a great concept and I was totally gripped and swept along by all of the books which are superbly read by Elizabeth Rodgers.
Dean Koontz writes thrillers with a slight fairy-tale quality, highly moral and tinged with mysticism. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but for someone who doesn't usually read crime thrillers, like me, it connects well with my taste for SF and fantasy. He also 'does evil' extremely well, maybe better than anyone, conveying with great conviction the chilling banality of the minds of the psychopaths and sadists in his stories.
He will occasionally interrupt the flow of his action with philosophical musings or 'dark and stormy night' digressions and that can be irritating with an audiobook because it's not easy to skip over them. But it's a small and forgivable flaw, I will miss devouring these books hugely.

First off, gutted this was the last book! You could have kept this going for so long! Felt with the characters, hated the enemy, Excited for the next book at the end of each one.

Great conclusion to the series
I loved this series of books, some of Koontz best work since Odd Thomas. Elizabeth Rogers creates a great character with her excellent narration
I’d highly recommend

A worthy conclusion
Having listened to the previous three titles in the Jane Hawk series this was a worthy and plausible conclusion.

Worth sticking with it.
Confusing for about the first quarter, but then the story became clear and I was anxious to see what happened to the “baddies”.
I would recommend this book.

Farewell
A scary look at what may be, but written so well to draw on the goodness of spirit. Packed with twists and turns, hope and energy, loved it.
