About this listen
Know your enemy. Liam Scott is back in Afghanistan, this time with 4 Rifles. No longer the new guy, it's his chance to prove himself and take the lead. But the warzone has changed dramatically, and so have the rules. Working alongside the Afghan National Army, Liam and his new patrol face daily attacks from Taliban insurgents. But the real threat seems to be coming from within his unit. It looks like there's a traitor in their midst.

A little gem
What other book might you compare The New Patrol to, and why?
This is typical Mcnab: a really good bitesize addition.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me appreciate even more what our boys have been doing over in Afghanistan for all these years; the sacrifice, courage and determination of these soldiers is awe inspiring.
Any additional comments?
Lovely little listen. I enjoyed it all the way through: give this a go.

Brilliant Story
Following the Liam Scott story has been a real insight. Allowing me to feel every word and getting a sense of what combat would be like. As someone who is going to be joining the army, it really gripped me and gave me huge tips for what I'll need to understand for when I'm in there. Well put together but wouldn't expect anything less of Andy McNab
