Summary

Becky and Jamie are an ordinary hard-working couple trapped in the daily grind, dreaming of an easier life. On one of their rare vacations, they meet Phil and Mel, a wealthy couple who seem to have it all—they're fun, well-traveled, and very generous with their money.

But they are also very, very dangerous.

Phil and Mel are not who they say they are, and this is no random vacation friendship. They have chosen Jamie and Becky carefully, seducing them with the promise of a lifestyle just like theirs.

By the time Jamie and Becky realize what their new friends really want, it’s too late: they’ve lost everything, and now their hopes and dreams lie shattered.

The only question now is how far will they go to get even?

Brilliant!

This was a great book. Really gripping. Just don't know where this author gets all these original ideas from, but keep them coming!

Absolutely BRILLIANT!🤗👏🏽

Thoroughly enjoyed this. I was hooked by every word🤗 all the narrators were OUTSTANDING!💯👏🏽 Daniel has such an amazing talent as an author and really brings you in that you can imagine every scene, and the way he describes what the characters are feeling is just brilliant! He takes time to add enough small thoughts and details so you actually can imagine every conversation and every scene. I even had image’s of the restaurant’s in my head😊so a MASSIVE well done for another AMAZING book Daniel💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 i have read a few of your books now and i have LOVED them! Decent enough

Quite an interesting story but some very stilted narration in parts which started to grate before the end

very predictable

This story was very predictable, not very exciting and was just unbelievable. It never really got going.

Not one of my favourites

This felt like a very basic and boring storyline which is a real shame as I love Daniel Hurst books. The narration annoyed me as every word was pronounced too much and the story felt clunky. No twists and turns .

Shocking (and not in an entertaining way)

Took a punt on a recommended title. Well… Boring, banal writing about boring, half-witted protagonists. Acted in such a robotic way, it is easier to believe A.I.s narrate this story, rather than humans. Not a thriller, as described and delivers nothing it promises to. Waste of one credit and bigger waste of 6 and a half hours.

Disappointing

Disappointing after listening to The Doctors Wife. The story was very predictable and the narators were very stilted.

Waste of a credit

I wish I’d read the reviews before wasting a credit on this . I think it was written by a not very bright 12 year old . It was the equivalent to a take a break magazine you pick up whilst recovering from surgery
