About this listen
A con man gets in too deep during a risky job on the French Riviera
Harvey Jordan is no ordinary thief. A few years ago, an identity-theft scheme left him destitute, his fortune stolen and his wife gone with it. After two years in the gutter, Harvey learned who ruined him and returned the favor, stealing back his money by taking over the crook’s identity. He didn’t recover his wife, but he did find a new career.
Now he travels the world among the fabulously wealthy, cozying up to them before he empties their bank accounts. Anonymity is his greatest asset, so when a casual seduction leaves him embroiled in a sensational divorce case, Harvey plans to escape by orchestrating the greatest swindle of his life, stealing the identity of the man whose wife Jordan seduced. As the reasons for his crime become more and more personal, and a love affair shatters his hard-boiled façade, this man without a name finds himself trapped in a con he cannot escape.

Gripping
A good yarn with an engaging different type of story. With great narration I found it difficult to stop listening.

A bit long.
Well written and interesting but it did drag a bit towards the end. Not fast paced and almost no tension but still worth a listen.

fantastic Author
the story was brillantly conceived and kept me engrossed. Still could not touch the Charlie Muffin tales by the same author.

Life and Love Unravelling Clamorously
Unusual, intricate, off-beat, well written, well narrated, very long courtroom procedural drama. We move line by line like in a film script, with each scene painted thoroughly to walk us through the unravelling of a conman's life and the lady he meets on holiday. Funny and ironic in so many places. If you enjoy this author's work, love puzzles, and participating in solving the MCs awkward predicaments in the plot, you will enjoy this. Well defined MCs who grow on you despite their conduct. VERY ENJOYABLE

Pretty Good
Story a bit too STD centred to be a gripping listen.
English pronunciations….
Pimlico is pimm-lick-o, not plimco.
rah-lee not raw-lee

Promising plot but failed to deliver
Far too much legal and financial jargon to the point of boredom. Narration was one dimensional.

Not for me.
Really didn’t like the narration of this book - it was a bit bizarre, with the wrong emotions being portrayed and odd speech patterns.
Didn’t like the plot either - the characters left me cold - didn’t care about what happened to any of them. And the court process became tedious.
