About this listen
If you suffer from intense emotions, you are not alone. Millions of Americans are diagnosed with emotion regulation disorders, such as borderline personality disorder (BPD) and other comorbid conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and severe depression. Developed by Marsha Linehan, DBT is a clinically proven, evidence-based treatment for intense emotions that can help you start feeling better right away. This is the first consumer-friendly book to offer Linehan's new mindfulness skills to help you take control of your emotions, once and for all.
In this book, you'll learn seven powerful skills that highlight the unique connection between mindfulness and emotion regulation. Each skill is designed to help you find focus in the present moment, reduce impulsive behavior, and increase a sense of connection to your true self, even during times of extreme stress or difficulty.
You can feel calmer, more grounded, and centered. If you're ready, the mindfulness practices in this book will help you move away from a chaotic, emotion-driven life and cultivate a focused, intentional one.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

a good guide for someone needing a refresher.
I will always look to getting professional help first and not from a book.
That said, this is a good book to give a refresher to skills already learnt.
I found the narration very good with a easy to listen to voice, a little annoying with all the references but I get why it has to be written that way so can deal with it.
it's definately a book I would come back to a few times.

An organized path to fulfill your life
If you need it, just listen to it. And if this is not the first one, it will remind you of many things that you already know and do. If so, it will give you the chance to check where you are at the present.

A Real Shame
I was unable to finish this book, disappointing because it contained valuable information and the narration was good but the constant references was very distracting .Before choosing this book ask yourself whether a reference of some sort around about every other sentence is something you are able put up with

omg put references in one chapter and get on with
omg I'm suffering emotional dysregulation your book is driving me crazy. the references are making me angrier. I know what your saying is right but it's hard to concentrate with constant references every few seconds. I can't read this book anymore. I hate how you've done this book.
