Another fantastic story from John Gaspard
I am loving this book series! I really hope there are more as Eli Marks as a character is so likable. Jim Cunningham's performance is superb the gentleman is pure class. Today is my birthday and I have COVID which sucks, but I have spent the day listening to this book which helped to take my mind off my constant coughing and pain! The setting for the story is good and the characters are great, the person(s) I thought it was, it wasn't which was annoying as I had worked out the mystery early on. I was wrong about the motives, but to be fair I think the concept I had thought up was better, and would of brought a different slant on the situation and was maybe a bit to dark for John Gaspard's writing. Actually now I think about it the story based in the Mall was a bit dark in one part, so maybe it would of fit? I binged this whole book today.

I just love these books!
Listening to these books is like being submerged in a play. The characterisation both audibly and literary is maturing with every book.
I have recently had the pleasure of listening to all of them again from start to finish. An indulgence taking my imagination on a story line that has both comedy and mystery without the darkness and dirge of some mystery series.
Keep them coming, as I for one really enjoy them.

Making Magical Murder Memories!
This is book 7 of John Gaspard's murder mystery series featuring magician Eli Marks, and I hope there will be many more. The stories are all tricky enough to solve 'with' Eli, and cosy enough to be very relaxing without being too cute. The narration is excellent, so much so that it would be hard to imagine the books being read by anyone else. Utterly delightful.
