Loved it.
What an absolutely fabulous story. I have been married to an Ulsterman for 30 years. The narration is perfect, both poignant and hilarious. I’ve laughed and cried. The NI phrases and references to 80’s life and culture are familiar and heartwarming. I loved every second of this, it was like listening to an old friend telling a yarn so it was !

An absolute cracker of a story
This is the first time I’ve left a review but this was SO amazing that I felt compelled to. Beautifully written, rounded complex believable (& sometimes lovable) characters & a fascinating story. Loved his first novel but this is even better. Fabulous narration too. Highly recommend

Brilliant
this is the 2nd novel by this author that I've listened to on Audible and I really loved them both...I'm lazy about leaving reviews, but this deserves a double thumbs up
